The Senior Field Application Engineer role is a dynamic, exciting position where you can apply your hardware verification and design skills to enable the success of our customers and our business. You will assist customers adopt Siemens EDA's formal verification products, aiding them in solving complex verification and design challenges. Some domestic and international travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Working with customers to provide product demonstrations, training, evaluations and competitive benchmarking.
  • Provide expert customer support and troubleshooting via telephone, email, remote access software and site visits as the need arises
  • Assisting customers in deploying Siemens EDA's software to solve design challenges.
  • Tracking and updating customer issues using defined Siemens EDA's processes and tracking tools.
  • Developing and delivering technical presentations and training on new features and product updates.
  • Developing technical content for Siemens EDA's knowledgebase, developing application notes and customer success stories
  • Communicating customers' technical requirements and customer issues to the product division and sales team.
  • Develop positive, technical relationships with our customers, sales teams, and the product engineering teams.
  • Work collaboratively with the customer & sales teams to ensure mutual success of the engagement.
  • Working collaboratively with the customer and team members to ensure mutual success.


Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's Degree in Electronics/ Computer Engineering or similar.
  • Customer-facing experience
  • Solid understanding of Digital Electronics Fundamentals.
  • Knowledge of ASIC or FPGA hardware design and implementation using RTL or HLS tool flows.
  • Knowledge of VHDL or Verilog, or SystemVerilog for ASIC or FPGA design
  • Knowledge of C/C++ and/or SystemC is desirable
  • A strong level of spoken and written English
  • Very flexible, self-motivated & proactive work style
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to navigate within customer organizations and mobility to work with customers on-site.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with external customers and internal engineering staff.
  • Ambitious, proactive, strong teammate, willing to accept challenges and learn new technologies and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of assertions (PSL or SVA), static formal verification methods and formal design checking methods required
  • Knowledge of clock domain crossing verification and Lint is also desirable.
