PositionOverview
As part ofa small team, you will work closely with other team members to develop, testand maintain code for a state-of-the-art circuit analysis tool. You will useyour expertise in C++ and Linux to implement scalable, high-performancesolutions that are robust and maintainable. You will be expected to have abroad-based understanding of all aspects of a complete software solution.
Responsibilities
- Work with other teammembers to understand requirements and propose solutions.
- Write robust,maintainable code using best practices in object-oriented C++.
- Write test cases andwork with QA to develop automated regression tests.
- Maintain and improveexisting software, restructuring or rewriting as necessary.
- Work with tech pubsto document functionality as required.
Requirements
- BS/MS in ElectricalEngineering, Computer Science or equivalent.
- 5+ years of experience writinglow-level C++ for a broad range of applications.
- Strong object-orientedprogramming skills with an emphasis on maintainability and reuse.
- Expertise with STL,data-structures, multi-threading, memory use and other system level aspects.
- Familiarity with large,complex source trees, performance analysis tools and code optimization.
- Proven track-record of writinghigh performance, maintainable, low-level code.
- Ability to utilize standardLinux development tools along with bash, Perl, Tcl/Tk, Qt, etc.
- Attention to detail, abilityto work-independently, pride of ownership.
Preferred
- EDA industry experience,ideally related to circuit level analysis.
- Development experience usingthe Tcl scripting language.
- Experience writing custom,user-level, command-based APIs.
- Domain knowledge of circuitreliability issues such as floating nodes, contention, over/under-voltage,cross-domain leakage and other multi-rail, low-power effects.
