The Custom IC (CIC) division of Siemens Digital Industries Software is seeking a Software Testing & Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team responsible for the Solido Wave™ waveform viewer. The ideal candidate will have strong Java skills and a passion for delivering high-quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure a high-quality standard for the Solido Wave™ A/MS waveform viewer.
- Collaborate with development and marketing teams to define quality plans for each release.
- Create test plans and test cases for new features using Java.
- Analyze and automate test cases for defects reported by customers.
- Execute tests, analyze reports, diagnose problems, and communicate findings to the development team with potential solutions.
- Validate products considering various quality attributes (FURPS), with a focus on usability (GUI).
- Measure and improve test coverage and monitor performance metrics.
- Use the product from a designer's perspective to identify issues and suggest enhancements.
- Work closely with the development team to enhance processes and validation cycles within an Agile framework.
- Develop and maintain tools for test case automation.

Qualifications:
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer or Electronic Engineering.
- 0-5 years of experience.
- Strong knowledge of Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) concepts.
- Experience in designing or testing software with graphical user interfaces (GUI) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with simple electronic circuit or board design and simulation tools is a plus.
- Knowledge or interest in QA methodologies and development tools (version control, defect tracking, test coverage) is highly desirable.
- Understanding of Analog IC design flows is a plus.
- Proficiency in Python, Shell scripting, and UNIX is an asset.
- Knowledge of multithreading and performance measurement techniques is a plus.
