About the role /Segment
Siemens Digital IndustriesSoftware is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer (Reacting Flows andCombustion) as part of a professional team that provides essential support forthe development and release of new software products. This is an excitingopportunity to contribute to the entire software life cycle of our leadingCAE/CFD tool Simcenter STAR-CCM+, with an emphasis on multiphase applications.
Youwill be a key member of the team to prepare test plans, test cases, and reviewtesting checklists and validating the solutions delivered by development. Yourattention to detail will be required to design test cases, execute tests,assess results and detect errors. At the same time always looking for ways toimprove test coverage, tools and processes.
TheQuality Assurance engineer will document all test results, report problems andwork to resolve them. The QA engineer must communicate proactively andeffectively with team members locally and the global team leads, projectmanagers, software developers and management.
Applicantsmust be legally authorized for employment in the country concerned, who willnot require employer sponsorship for permit to work.

Area ofresponsibility
Assessnew product functionality.
Developand document test plans and procedures to verify that our software products andreleases meet the established functionality and performance goals.
Constructtest models, including mesh building and applying physical setup. Design testscenarios to demonstrate the expected outcome.
Implementsoftware testing strategies including the execution of System, Integration, andUnit testing to fulfil the quality requirements on our products.
Testthe products, document the results, report defects, follow up with stakeholdersto ensure prompt resolution of issues. Provide diagnostic to problems andgather evidence.
Developautomated testing procedures. Contribute to strategic directions forthe entire Quality Assurance organization.
Bean advocate to promote overall quality improvement. Liaise withstakeholders to agree signoff.
Effectivelywork with a globally dispersed and diverse team.
Your qualifications
Significantprofessional experience in any CFD tool, gained from academia or industry.
Significant professional experience as Quality Assurance and /orTesting experience, or experience working in an Agile software developmentenvironment will be advantageous.
Proven proficiency of written and spoken English.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to apply advanced level technical skills collaborativelyin an ambitious, fast-paced environment on a team with experiencedprofessionals.
Flexibility to work in differentdomain areas when business demands.
