Product Test Engineer

We empower our people to stay resilient and relevant in a constantly changing world. We're looking for people who are always searching for creative ways to grow and learn. People who want to make a real impact, now and in the future.
Does that sound like you? Then it seems like you'd make a great addition to our vibrant team.
Siemens Software, a business unit of the Siemens Digital Industries, is a leading global provider of software solutions to drive the digital transformation of industry, creating new opportunities for manufacturers to realize innovation.
What You'll Do:
The Product Test Engineer is responsible for validating embedded system control software and, on occasion, PC-based applications within the measurement instrumentation domain. This role focuses primarily on manual testing, conducted both throughout and at the conclusion of the product development cycle on physical hardware. Adopting an "internal customer" mindset, the Product Test Engineer partners closely with hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure all products meet or exceed specifications and requirements. Where appropriate, the engineer will design and implement test automation solutions, drive continuous improvement of test processes, and advocate for integrated testing considerations at every phase of product development.
Responsibilities
Primary
• Define and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases derived from user stories, product requirements, and specifications
• Collaborate with development teams to refine and enhance test methodologies, ensuring thorough coverage and traceability
• Perform functional, integration, and regression testing on embedded software and related PC applications on physical hardware
Secondary
• Develop and maintain test tools and fixtures, including hardware interfaces and software utilities, to support manual and automated testing
• Architect and implement automation frameworks or scripts to increase test repeatability and efficiency
• Identify opportunities to streamline test processes and integrate testing best practices across the organization's product creation lifecycle

• A structured, quality-first mindset and a methodical approach to every task
• Empathy for customers and end users-your testing always reflects their real-world needs and expectations
