The product engineer will report to the productmanager and closely work with the product engineering group together with crossfunctional team that include R&D developers and quality assurance group.The product engineer's role is to support the product through its life cycle byperforming the following tasks:

  • Learn about theapplication field for the products through interaction with customers, otherSiemens EDA engineers and industry peers, through independent literatureresearch and by attending relevant technical conferences.
  • Understand how theproduct interacts within the application field to be able to communicatecustomer requirements to R&D.
  • Demonstrate productfeatures to customers and collect feedback about product applicability andrequirements.
  • Contribute toapplication development and functional validation of software solutionsdeveloped by the engineering team.
  • Develop test cases forthe quality assurance group in their testing of user scenarios.
  • Filing enhancement anddefect reports to address product gaps and defects; work with R&D tocommunicate requirements and test prospective solutions.
  • Provide applicationsengineer training and support for product deployment.

Minimum Requirements:

  • PhD or Master's degreein Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, ComputerScience, or related STEM field with 5+ years' prior experience in Semiconductorwafer/mask process development and manufacture, and/or an EDA environment withan emphasis on Semi manufacturing software including GPU acceleration forcomputational lithography
  • UNIX/Linux operatingsystems is required.
  • Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills
  • Self-motivated andresults-oriented and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Some domestic orinternational travel is required

Additional qualifications in one or more areaslisted below:

  • Engineer with backgroundand recent experience in computational lithography and OPC verification insemiconductor manufacturing including advanced nodes
  • Engineer with backgroundGPU for computational lithography
  • Understanding of theinteraction of the IC design flow and the wafer manufacturing flow
  • Interest in softwareapplication development and machine learning methodologies
  • Network in thesemiconductor manufacturing and supplier space.
  • C/C++, Python and Juliaprogramming languages is a plus.

This position will besubject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic inArms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status orobtaining any necessary export license.

The salary range forthis position is $121,400 to $218,500 and this role is eligible to earnincentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on thesuccessful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, includingjob-related skills, experience, and relevanteducation/training.
