Brief job description:
This entry-level position is designed for recent graduates or individuals in their early stages of their careers who have a foundational understanding of web development principles and a strong desire to learn and grow within the field. As a trainee software web developer you will be involved in a variety of projects aimed at enhancing our internal intranet system, which serves as a crucial hub for our organization's communication, collaboration, and operational needs.
What are my Responsibilities?
- Collaborate with the web development product owner to plan, design, and develop new features and functionalities for our internal intranet platform
- Assist in the maintenance and troubleshooting of existing intranet applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
- Participate in the testing and implementation of web applications, widgets, including identifying bugs and issues and recommending solutions
- Learn and apply best practices in web development, including coding standards, tools, and technologies
- Engage in continuous learning and professional development activities to keep abreast of the latest web development trends and technologies
- Contribute to the documentation of web development processes, code, and user guides
- Support the web development product owner in other related tasks and projects as needed
What do I need to qualify for this job?
- Recent Graduate (No more than 1 year of your graduation) - bachelor's degree in any of the following careers: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
- Strong understanding of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as React, or others
- Familiarity with server-side programing languages (e.g., PHP, Python, Ruby) and database technologies (e.g., MySQL, Cosmos DB, SQL a plus)
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Highly motivated individual
- Advance English skills
- Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities
- Ability to work in a team environment and collaboration
- Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently
