General Summary of theJob:

The Head of ITTransformation at Siemens Industry Software is leading all IT transformationresources. These consist of several teams that cover Demand Management,Architecture and Project Team. These teams are responsible to drive all majortransformation activities where IT supports the business to make them happen.The role includes budget responsibility for all assigned transformationprojects and will include considerable support by external partners. Besideleading managers within the Transformation team, the role also requiresextensive collaboration with stakeholders on the business side. These includethe top executives of DI SW and potentially for some projects beyond. Overallthis role requires great management as well as communication skills.

Essential Functions:

The Head of ITTransformation will be responsible for leading a team of people managers (8-12managers) and highly skilled experts (~100-120 individuals) including projectmanagers and:

  • Creates IT value forour businesses by taking end-to-end responsibility for the assigned Projectsand initiatives, which are decisive for the future success of DI SW andtherefore have direct business impact.
  • Has excellentcommunication skills based on thorough IT understanding to be able to be atrustworthy partner of the business executives
  • Manages initiatives,projects and costs proactively and keeps an constant eye on true businessbenefits and business stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Manages a sizeable teamthat drives innovations and that believes in continuous improvement, likes tobe empowered, and believes in the value of collaboration.
  • Is able to deal withchanging priorities and an everchanging environment (VUCA).
  • Optimizes externalservice provider management to deal with work peaks and knows how to manage andleverage them.
  • Has a strong businessorientation that helps to identify and focus on IT initiatives that provide themost value to the business
  • Is an important memberof the senior IT management team and helps drive IT to success
  • Collaborate closelywith IT management and IT Operations to ensure smooth handover of new systemsand functions to daily operation

Skills and AbilitiesRequired:

Criticalskills/experience needed for this role-

  • Wide business processknowledge, innovation drive, communication, and understanding of financialfundamentals
  • Great understanding ofthe IT tools and technology that are used to provide the assigned services, aswell as a good understanding of the IT trends and innovations in the respectivetechnology field.

Key LeadershipRequirements-

  • Good businessunderstanding, service management, and basic financial knowledge.
  • Excellent communicationskills
  • Leadership skills withproven ability to manage large teams and ability to drive timely decisions.
  • Must be a flexible andcreative individual capable of leading and managing multiple
  • priorities and projectsin a fast paced, often ambiguous, and diverse environment
  • Needs to be able toanticipate the skills required in the future and prepare the IT transformationteam to be able to build those
  • Highly self motivatedand able to motivate others
  • Management experiencerequired.

Education andExperience Requirement-

  • Technical Master'sdegree or fifteen or more (15+) years of IT and/or business experience.
  • Ten or more (10+) yearsof management experience.

WorkingConditions/Physical Requirements:

  • Normal officeenvironment.
  • Ability to travel(domestic and global) < 10-15%.

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday

The salary range for this position is $197,700 to$355,900 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actualcompensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location aswell as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, andrelevant education/training.
