Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of our facilities in Korea, including office spaces, data centers, and other specialized software development environments.
  • Develop and implement facility management policies and procedures that align with the specific needs of the software industry, ensuring compliance with local regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage and coordinate facility maintenance, repairs, and upgrades to ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of the facilities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including IT, security, and operations, to support the integration of facility management practices with software development processes and technologies.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and service providers to procure necessary resources and support services for facility maintenance and operations.
  • Implement and oversee facility security measures, including access control, surveillance systems, and emergency response protocols.
  • Manage the facility budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of facility management professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and maintain excellent relationships with internal customers to understand and meet specific needs and requirements to provide internal customer with high-level satisfaction, but within corporate standards and guidelines.
  • While the primary role is focused on supporting our offices in Korea, there will be expectation to travel to and support other locations in the region.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in facility management, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience in facility management, preferably in the software industry or a related technical field. Strong understanding of building systems, infrastructure, and technologies relevant to software development facilities, such as power distribution, HVAC, networking, and security systems.
  • Knowledge of local regulations and codes related to facility management, safety, and environmental compliance in Korea.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Korean and English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive, results-oriented approach to facility management.
