Job Title: Engineering Services Engineer[MULTIPLE POSITIONS]

Duties:Designs and implements engineering solutionson customer projects. Understands problem statement and requirements. Developssimulation models in Simcenter Amesim platform and MATLAB/Simulink tools.Performs simulation driven analysis to understand root cause of issues andfailures. Develops design solutions in a systematic manner. Develops automotivecontrol systems, such as those for transmission, and driveline, in MATLAB andSimulink using Quality Processes and Methods. Uses driveline and vehiclesimulation models to study performance of the control systems. Works closelywith the project team to plan the technical steps and details the engineeringtasks for each of the project milestones. Analyzes functional requirements todevelop test scenarios and performs Model-In-the-Loop and Software-In-the-Loopsimulations with the test scenarios to ensure quality design implementations.Uses vehicle test data. Attunes model parameters to get a good correlationbetween vehicle test results and simulation results. Documents solutions andresults and presents them to project stakeholders and team members. Providesbusiness and technical feedback to business development and project managementteams. Provides technical guidance to customer engineers in the application ofdesign techniques and system procedures related to simulation-based testing andperformance evaluation of automotive control systems using models.

Requirements: Employer will accept a Master's degree, orforeign equivalent, in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, orrelated field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in anEngineering-related occupation. Position requiresexperience in the following: Working with model-based control designs ofdriveline controls; Working with modeling and simulation using MATLAB andSimulink; Developing functional test cases from functional requirements forautomotive drive units; Performing automated software testing using Jenkinswith model and software components; Performing DFMEA for automotive subsystems;Performing troubleshooting and failure analysis of powertrain components;Experience with quality process and methods such as QFD and Six-Sigmatechniques. 100% telecommuting permitted. Less than 10% domestic travelrequired.
