Position Overview
The Siemens EDA team is seeking an EDA Portfolio Strategist to drivethe development and management of the strategic map for Siemens EDA. This anexciting opportunity for an experienced professional in the industry with adrive for bringing new strategies to life. This individual will build and maintainan industry map of key factors shaping the actions of the players, adoption oftechnologies, and development of strategies and lead and participate increating differentiated strategies for Siemens EDA as part of cross-functionalteams. They will shape the direction of the business by thoughtfullytranslating macro trends from the IC and systems domains into actionable plansand strategies and will be a source of ideas and a facilitator to draw out theideas of others.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the followingactivities:
- Creating and managing an overall strategic mapfor Siemens EDA that provides a foundational perspective on the state of theoverall industry landscape at any point in time
- Managing the processes, data analysis and interactivecommunication of the EDA strategic planning team
- Organizing the implementation of superiorbusiness strategies, guidelines, and principles
- Designing and coordinating strategic plans,programs, and measures on business or regional level in support of CEO andrelated executive team
- Serving as a thought leader across the salesand product division on trends and issues across the technology spectrum inareas such as Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cloud Services, DataAnalytics, Chiplets and 3D packaging, 5G, and Edge IoT
- Identifying and articulating opportunities thatmay have significant impact for IC and systems companies as they seek toaddress their EDA and end-market needs
- Leading cross-functional teams comprised ofboth technical and business stakeholders to build aligned customer-focusedstrategies with financially compelling results - then analyzing complex ideasand synthesizing them into actionable next steps
- Acting a trusted advisor for executivemanagement to identify and follow up on future business opportunities; ensuringcontinuous analyses and design of strategic positioning of the business overalland advising on long-term development of the product, service or solutionsportfolio
Job Qualifications
- Deep knowledge and experience in both the EDAand IC industries, including the challenges and landscape around major EDA toolcategories and competitors
- Ability to delve into new technology areas andlearn the necessary information to sufficiently guide strategy development
- Familiarity with multiple technology trendsimpacting IC companies, such as AI/ML, Cloud, 3D IC, IoT, etc. and businesstrends impacting IC companies, such as industry consolidation, startupactivity, government semiconductor investment, cost of design, etc.
- Proven ability to work well in a fast-paced,multi-disciplinary team while engaging with partners and customers in aneffective and professional manner
- Demonstrated success in creating and executingstrategies at either product or organizational levels
- Working knowledge of business and financialprocesses that impact strategy, such as financial reporting, ROI analysis,M&A factors, and P&L basics
- Excellent communication skills, includingPowerPoint presentation creation
- BSEE or BSCS is required; MSEE of MBApreferred
- 15+ years of experience in the IC industryand/or EDA
- Preferred: Experience taking concepts from thestrategy stage through successful implementation in an EDA or IC/System context
- Preferred: Experience in corporate strategicplanning and/or financial planning in a semiconductor company
- with the ability and passion for both systemsthinking and diving deep into details
Working Conditions/Physical Requirements:
- Role will be hybrid home-office with someflexibility in location
- Will support discussions in various timezones, so virtual meetings outside of home time zone will be necessary.
- Occasional travel required to support certainmeetings or customer discussions: ~10%

Siemens Software. Transform the Everyday
The salary range for this position is $162,600 to$292,700 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actualcompensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location aswell as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, andrelevant education/training.
