Key Responsibilities:
- Elicit requirements from stakeholders
- Create, understand and review software architecture and design
- Develop and refactor code as a software developer
- Guide teams by setting direction and educating on best practices
- Create test architecture and test design for the system
- Be architecture and design owner for the domains you are associated with
- Full end to end ownership of SW component design and delivery
- Working closely with and across internal teams to bring a Quality First mentality and shifting testing left.
- Mentoring and coaching team members in producing production quality software solutions.
- Developing frameworks and components for high-performance distributed Software systems.
- Working within and leading Scrum teams while contributing towards all tasks and team goals.
The Ideal Candidate
- Has designed, developed, and led commissioning efforts for cloud based microservices and orchestration software on public cloud
- Is an expert level Linux user
- Has excellent protocol knowledge for networking, mircoservice communications and data streaming e.g gRPC, TCP/IP, REST
- Has developed java-based software solutions for complex distributed systems
- Will be agile in attitude and has a passion for delivering customer value quickly.
- Has a background in PLM or EDA
- Has the flexibility to wear different hats as the team grows
- Is interested in how things work under the hood.
- Has a problem solving / trouble shooting attitude coupled with strong communication skill.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Software Engineering, Technology or a relevant degree
- Deep understanding of various testing frameworks and methodologies.
- Deep experience with object-oriented or alternative software design modes.
- Understanding of Cloud infrastructure and SaaS with past experience on AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.
- Solid communication skills, including the ability to present ideas and share your knowledge with others.
- Experience with software development best practices for the full engineering lifecycle
- Proven technical leadership of SW domain areas.
- Proven and sustained experience in complex software development.
You are a right fit if:
You have experience in SaaS transformation
You have developed fully automated systems for operating in cloud using Kubernetes (k8s)
You have experience with infrastructure as code tools, ideally with Terraform, Ansible
You have working knowledge of networking components (subnets, VPN, VPCs, security groups, NATs, etc).
You have worked with CI/CD tooling such as GitLab CI, ArgoCD, etc
You can do system design for solutions in the cloud (Can you build an MVP of Dropbox?)
You understand System Design principles and micro-services architecture
You have familiarity with Linux internals
You have working knowledge of AWS/Azure services, container architecture
You can interpret and critique distributed system design
You are an advanced-level programmer
You have 5+ years of software development experience (C# or Java or Python)
You can build full-stack/backend for applications and deploy on cloud
You can write clear, legible, maintainable code
You are aware of code smells and can enforce it through code reviews
You have followed TDD/BDD principles and created automated tests
You have a working knowledge of testing strategies and tools
You have a good design background
You are good in object-oriented design, development
You are good at choosing efficient data structures and algorithms
You have a working knowledge of design patterns/smells
You are willing to/able to use your technical expertise to mentor, train, and lead other engineers.
Even better if:
You are well-versed in cybersecurity architecture and processes
You have experience in Teamcenter platform.

The salary range for this position is $105,100 to $189,200 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate's work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
