The next generation electronics products with modern PCB design faces unprecedented complexity, demanding robust verification and first-pass success. We're expanding our European PCB Team with an expert Application Engineer to drive customer success.

Key competency area will be covering the infrastructure aspects, such as component information and ECAD Library management, PCB work-in-progress design data management, supply chain integration, integration with PLM systems and Cloud computing.

Responsibilities

  • Transform customers PCB design, analysis, and New Product Introduction (NPI) workflows through:
  • Take ownership of customer requirements and processes analysis and provide solutions implementation
  • Drive projects with a sense of urgency, strong organizational and follow up skills
  • Apply workflow expertise and knowledge in (PCB) design management and implementation to provide the appropriate solutions to customers
  • Good understanding of business requirements and ability to deliver solutions to meet business objectives
  • Technical Sales Support
  • Take technical ownership of sales engagements
  • Uncover customer needs
  • Deliver compelling presentations
  • Lead technical workshops
  • Build proof of concepts
  • Execute competitive benchmarking

Requirements

  • Degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering and/or professional experience - or equivalent
  • Experience in analysing (PCB ) engineering processes, from component, design, E-BOM to PLM
  • Experience with the installation, configuration and deployment of the Siemens Electronic Design Data Management (EDM) products and / or Siemens Teamcenter products
  • Ability to write scripts Java, VB and Windows BAT files
  • Proficiency in Oracle or Postgress database administration
  • Excellent presentation as well as communication skills
  • Excellent verbal and written English / German skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely
  • Comfortable or willing to learn to present at all levels from technical to executive.
  • It's important that you like to take on new challenges and responsibilities to grow your competences
  • The candidate will report into the European PCB and System Solutions Technical Team.
  • The role is pan-European and includes travelling from time to time, both European and International.
