APAC STS Portfolio Development Director - STS

Key Responsibilities:

• As part of Regional management team, manage a large eam of Portfolio Development Managers for a multiple country organisation or a multi-vertical portfolio / industry to deliver high quality portfolio development activities to support the sales of the Company's software and meet the goals of the business.

• In partnership with Country executives and management, contribute to the sales pipeline strategy, understanding the Portfolio Development contribution requirements.

• Oversee the planning and delivery of portfolio expansion and growth through the management of Portfolio Development activities, aligned with DI SW Zone level objectives.

• Manage business operations for Portfolio management for Country/Vertical/Region including budget/cost control, business planning, monitoring, and reporting.

• Establish clear market positions for portfolio domains within allocated area understanding what problems we are solving, and the business value delivered to customer in order to build a compelling sales message and TIPS for each campaign within each Country or Vertical, appreciating that these messages will differ between industry and between country or region.

• Responsible for personnel decisions such as recruitment, training and development, performance management, etc., in line with relevant regulations for own areas of responsibility.

• Participate in relevant Country / Vertical /Region level meetings and contribute to planning and reporting for required activity.

• Provide coaching and mentoring to PFD Executives and PFD Managers and act as an advocate to others in the business with respect to the impact and value of Portfolio Development.

• Contribute to zone initiatives and occasionally to global initiatives originating from agreed priorities and strategy. Deputise for Senior Portfolio Director if required.

Qualifications:

• Master's degree in engineering or economics.

• Proven experience in business development, sales, or related roles within the simulation or engineering technology industry (experience in the Aerospace, Defence, Marine and Start-ups from this segment is preferred)

• Strong understanding of simulation tools, technologies, and their applications from the likes of Siemens Simcenter, Ansys, Altair & Hexagon

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to travel as needed to engage with clients and attend industry events.

• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
