The Opportunity
Shutterstock's Corporate Technology team is looking for a talented and motivated IT Systems Engineering professional to join the team. As a Senior IT Systems Engineer at Shutterstock, you will be responsible for designing and maintaining the IT servers, systems, and services across multiple sites. This includes servers / systems used for productivity, networking, monitoring, alerting, analytics gathering, and reporting. Candidates will be expected to mentor other team members as well as present technical solutions to broad audiences including non-technical staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day operational support for server and storage infrastructure, planning and implementing changes to infrastructure with the goal of enhancing performance
- Designs and performs complex storage and server data backup, data migration, disaster recovery operations, software and operating system upgrades
- Develop the overall strategy, road map and gap analysis for the Apple environment ecosystem.
- Design and deliver global and user-specific Apple configuration profiles and policies using Jamf.
- Perform Apple management administration, routine maintenance, operating system upgrades, vulnerability patching.
- Develop, manage and deploy global Apple workstation standard images.
- Administer, manage and mature organization tools such as Okta, Google Workspaces, JAMF, Confluence and Jira.
- Administer virtual desktop environment provisioning, patching and application updates
- Maintain uptime of all Corporate IT systems and resources on the production network
- Install new software releases, system upgrades and patching.
- Perform system backups and recovery of all operational devices.
- Assist Network Engineering team with network related issues.
- Document complex procedures and troubleshooting procedures related to systems software and hardware.
- Research new products and technologies, as well as developments in existing technology, determine business requirements, propose changes and develop migration and implementation strategies.
- Assist in administration, maintenance, development and implementation of policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of information and availability of systems.

Requirements
- Expert level understanding of the following applications and operating environments, MS Windows, MacOS X, Office 365, Google Apps, and Single Sign-on solutions
- Relevant experience in enterprise class IT environments
- Relevant experience in the management of Apple Management tools.
- Experience using Apple Business Manager, DEP and Zero-touch deployment tools
- Expertise with enterprise-class System Administration/ Engineering with Linux and Windows environment (MS Active Directory, LDAP, etc)
- Relevant experience with virtualized environments
- Experience with MS Active Directory, LDAP and SAML Single Sign-on
- Experience and knowledge of LAN/WAN technologies (switching, routing, firewalls and VPN, VLANs, DNS, RADIUS, DHCP, etc.)
- Experience with Cloud platforms and server virtualization
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, Powershell, VB, Shell, Lua).
- Desktop/server security and antivirus experience
- Okta / SSO administration experience
- Amazon Web Services experience
- VMWare Operator level proficiency
