The role
The Finance Manager will be a strategic thinker, highly analytical, and creative, and have a demonstrated ability to effectively manage financial responsibilities and decision-making in a rapidly evolving business. This role requires a self-starter with strong modeling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively. You will be expected to help build the processes that can help to scale the business to the next level.
Where you'll work
This position is a hybrid role, with 3 days in office at our Irving, Texas location.
What you'll be doing
- Collaborate with the ELT and SLT for SG&A functions
- Consolidate financial statements, conduct an analytical review of consolidated results, and prepare the financial reporting package for external and internal consumption
- Recommend courses of action to help achieve financial goals or targets, and participate in financial scenarios buildings.
- Monitor budget requests from other departments and provide variance explanations and business insights to stakeholders in a concise manner.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports, special projects, and presentations for various internal stakeholders.
- Partner with process owners to define and benchmark operational KPIs and automate the delivery of KPI dashboards.
- Manage Finance staff and develop new processes and procedures and identify opportunities for operational improvement. This includes building processes and executing the following:
- Strategic planning and financial analysis.
- Investment appraisal.
- Capital expenditure.
- Budgeting and budgetary control.
- Working capital management.
What you'll need
- Bachelors in Finance, Business, or Accounting. MBA or CPA is a plus.
- 5+ Years of experience in Finance Department
- Communicates clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing. Able to listen actively and extract the necessary information to keep the ball moving.
- Experience defining, benchmarking, and reporting on operational KPIs related to finance processes.
- Highly proactive and planful, with a proven track record participating in delivering successful transformation projects.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with senior cross-functional stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous improvement
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and financial systems and software.
