The role

As a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining our data models to support data analytics and business intelligence solutions. You will work closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to ensure the availability, quality, and accessibility of data for various business initiatives.

Where you'll work

You must be located in the US to be considered for this position. You'll have the flexibility to choose between remote work (State permitting) or working from our office in Cleveland.

What you'll be doing

  • Designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines using Fivetran, Snowflake, Airflow, and dbt.
  • Setting up and maintaining data warehousing solutions to store and manage large datasets, enabling efficient querying and reporting.
  • Developing and maintaining ELT processes to cleanse, transform, and enrich raw data into usable formats.
  • Optimizing data models for performance, scalability, and efficiency
  • Implementing data quality checks, validation, and monitoring procedures to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.
  • Implementing data security measures and adhering to data privacy regulations to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Staying updated with the latest data engineering technologies and tools, and recommending their adoption to enhance data processing capabilities.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Analytics Engineer, Data Warehouse Engineer or similar role.
  • Advanced SQL Skills with experience writing complex queries.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud warehouses (Snowflake, Big Query), Ingestions (Stitch or Fivetran), Airflow, and dbt.
  • Knowledge of data security and privacy practices.
  • Experience in designing and implementing data models, algorithms, and statistical analyses.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with technical and non-technical teams.
