VIE - Material Productivity Leader - Budapest

As part of the GSC Europe organization, within the Virtual Factory Europe entity, the Material Productivity Leader (MPL) is responsible for developing, leading, and executing projects aimed at reducing material costs in order to achieve material productivity targets and maintain our competitiveness.

Functionally reporting to the Plant Director, you will lead projects that improve the plant's material productivity, such as:

  • Supplier changes, including internationalization and localization
  • Product evolution generating productivity (design changes, material or color changes, process or part improvements, etc.)

You will ensure project follow-up through:
  • Project planning and monitoring tools involving all relevant stakeholders (technical teams, LoB for qualification, Supply Chain, Quality, Procurement, Certifications, etc.)
  • Regular reporting: situation analysis, escalation of blocking points, productivity adjustment processes

Based at our Budapest hub, you will work closely with the plant MPL and the Supply Chain and Quality teams located across our three sites (Budapest, Grenoble, Angoulême).

Travel to our various sites and to suppliers is expected.
  • Education: Master's degree (Bac +5) in Purchasing, Logistics, or Quality
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in engineering, purchasing, or a similar field
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes is a plus
Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of supply chain processes (supplier management, negotiation, market analysis, inventory management, etc.)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Financial acumen
  • Understanding of internal cost and budget management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; fluent in English
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
