Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Travel & Expense Governance Process Owner (Americas) in Nashville, TN.

The Travel & Expense Governance Process owner will have a strategic leadership role overseeing Schneider Electric's Global Business Travel & Expense (BTEX) Governance for the Americas. Furthermore, you will be responsible for shaping and executing regional travel and expense strategies, ensuring policy compliance, traveler safety, process optimization, and a seamless, digitized user experience-including group travel management.

What will you do?

You will:

  • Develop and execute a strategic travel program for the Americas aligned with Schneider Electric's global BTEX goals, focusing on business priorities, digitization, and cross-functional alignment.
  • Oversee end-to-end T&E operations, including travel processes, technologies, vendor management, and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams (Procurement, Finance, Security, Digital, Compliance) to standardize processes and ensure seamless, policy-compliant travel services.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, influence decisions, and ensure KPIs are met through strategic business partnering.
  • Enhance traveler services through automation, technology improvements, and innovation in T&E solutions.
  • Use data storytelling to deliver insights on spend, compliance, and cost optimization; manage vendor relationships and report performance regularly.

Additional Regional Responsiblities:

You will:
  • Oversee T&E governance for the Americas, ensuring regional requirements are met.
  • Lead operational planning and process optimization aligned with global and local standards.
  • Partner with service and tech providers to enhance program performance and value.
  • Manage strategic vendor relationships across travel services (agency, airline, hotel, card, ground).
  • Provide expertise in travel technologies and manage platforms and training for compliance.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and internal teams to drive savings, improve services, and implement best practices.
  • Monitor and report on travel spend, compliance, and budget forecasts.
  • Coordinate with Global Security to ensure traveler safety, especially during emergencies.

Who will you report to? VP of Global Business Travel and Expense (T&E) Governance with a dotted functional line to the BTEX Global Travel Operations and Expense Tower leaders.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Bachelor's degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in corporate travel, business management, procurement, consulting, or finance.
  • Deep knowledge of travel ecosystems: GDS, OBTs, TMCs, BI tools, and expense systems.
  • Proficient in Concur Travel & Expense and integrated travel technologies.
  • Strong communicator across global teams; skilled in simplifying complex topics. Spanish is a plus.
  • Excellent presenter with proven ability to influence and engage diverse audiences.
  • Experienced working with culturally diverse, global teams.
