Training Specialist
As a Training Specialist, you deliver engaging learning and technical training through virtual and in-person platforms, ensuring effective pre- and post-session activities for both synchronous and self-paced learning. You monitor product/process evolution, update training programs, and pilot courseware to assess material effectiveness. You maintain safety best practices while preparing learners for future needs. Your mission is to provide high-quality training that enhances learners' skills and knowledge. Your impact is reflected in the improved performance and capabilities of the learners you train. You are an individual contributor with specialized knowledge in learning (processes which are specific to support Business Unit) and/or technical training, focusing on delivering and implementing learning programs using your expertise. You apply conceptual knowledge to deliver results that have some impact on others. Your decisions typically focus on methods, tactics, and processes to complete technical tasks. You solve routine and non-routine problems independently, by applying an understanding of different learning and technical concepts. You work independently with general guidance in adherence to policies, procedures, quality, and compliance standards and may seek guidance on more complex issues.
Duties and Responsibilities: Functional Expertise & Operational Support
Training Delivery:
- Leads new hire business line transition teams by delivering ad-hoc training, facilitating functional/refresher and new hire business training and updating training modules for processes and systems enhancements/changes.
- May be responsible for providing refresher, cross-skilling and upskilling for employees as part of their development, sustainable business continuity, and growth opportunities.
- Presents simple training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations, and videos.
Learning Program Development:
- Provides one on one coaching to assist in the learning of new skills of the employees thru individual training sessions or lectures.
- Designs, develops, and maintains training materials, curricula, job aids, assessments, and learning resources for assigned business unit/region.
- Updates training content to reflect product enhancements, process improvements, and organizational changes.

Learning Needs Analysis & Stakeholder Partnership
- Assesses the organization's training needs via employee/Operations and Support teams' input, performance gap analysis, survey administration, and analysis, which helps in tailoring training programs to fill specific skill gaps.
- Collaborates with business leaders, subject matter experts, and operational stakeholders to determine learning priorities.
Evaluation and Continuous Improvement:
- Monitors learner performance and training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and operational metrics.
- Analyzes learning outcomes to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement enhancements to training programs based on performance data and stakeholder feedback.
- Assesses learning and development needs either through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and learners.
- Supports peers and assists with learning and project management.
Knowledge Management:
- Creates and maintains SOPs, technical documentation, and process maps to support standardized and efficient operational workflows.
- Ensures consistency and accuracy of technical content.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
Work Experience:
- At least 2 years' experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position is a plus.
- Experience in working on process improvement or other related initiative related to learning / training and development is a plus.
- Experience facilitating instructor-led training in virtual and/or classroom environments.
Business Understanding:
- Demonstrates understanding of business processes, tools and operations.
- Proficient in translating business objectives into analytical frameworks.
- Experienced in identifying and defining key business metrics aligned with company goals.
Others (e.g. language skills, technical skills):
- Advanced time management skills, public speaking skills, problem-solving skills and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in MS Office, word processing and presentation software.
- Ability to operate media equipment such as projectors and personal computers.
- Knowledge about traditional and modern training methods and techniques.
- Exceptional organization, strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to a teamwork environment.
- Adaptability in a fast-changing environment.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.
- Encouraging team and staff; able to coach and lead
- Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions.
- Knowledgeable about learning management systems, instructional design and e-learning platforms.
- Basic project management skills.
- Will be required to report onsite and/or shifting schedules, as needed.
