Technical Lead - Full Stack Development (EcoStruxure Building Data Platform)

About the Role

We're looking for a Technical Lead to guide a team of talented developers building the EcoStruxure Building Data Platform (BDP)-a cloud-based Independent Data Layer (IDL) that powers smart, sustainable buildings worldwide. This role combines hands-on development with technical leadership, ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using modern Microsoft and Azure technologies, containerized architectures, and IoT integrations.

What You'll Do

  • Lead & Mentor: Provide technical leadership, code reviews, and mentorship to a team of developers.
  • Architect & Design: Define and enforce architecture standards, API design principles (REST & GraphQL), and cloud-native best practices.
  • Hands-On Development: Contribute to coding efforts in .NET C#, Angular/Blazor/React, and Azure services.
  • Containerization: Drive adoption of Docker and Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
  • Cloud Integration: Oversee solutions leveraging Azure Function Apps, Event Hubs, IoT Hubs, Azure Data Explorer (KQL), SQL Server, and Application Insights.
  • Semantic Modeling: Ensure proper use of RDF and Brick Schema Ontology for building data contextualization.
  • Quality & Security: Ensure adherence to secure development lifecycle, performance optimization, and compliance with ISO 27001, IEC62443, GDPR.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Product Owners, DevOps, and QA to deliver features on time and within scope.
  • Innovation: Drive adoption of modern frameworks, GraphQL, and IoT/Building Automation integrations (MQTT, BACnet, Modbus).

  • Experience:
    • 7+ years in software development, with at least 2+ years in a technical leadership role.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong proficiency in .NET (C#) and front-end frameworks (Angular, Blazor, React).
    • Experience with GraphQL, REST API design, and containerized solutions (Docker, Kubernetes).
    • Deep knowledge of Azure services (Function Apps, Event Hubs, IoT Hubs, Azure Data Explorer, SQL Server).
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Experience with RDF, Brick Schema Ontology, and knowledge graphs.
    • Familiarity with IoT protocols (MQTT) and Building Automation systems (BACnet, Modbus).
    • Knowledge of data modeling and KQL for analytics.
