Tech Partner-IT

As the role name describes, a 'Tech Partner' will act as a technical buddy for end users and supports them with their technology related queries and issues. Tech Partner is responsible to provide support for Schneider Electric workplace and infrastructure equipment (including network related ones), physically on-location at Schneider Electric facilities including but not limited.This role will entail supporting a production facility in 201 Washington St #2700, One Boston Place, Boston, MA 02108, USA. This is technical support role in a mixed manufacturing/production facility and office environment.
Key Responsibilities:
End-User & Equipment Support
- Deliver VIP support to executive users and high-priority personnel.
- Provide technical assistance for video conferencing systems (Polycom, Lenovo, Logitech, etc.).
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and assist with printer and desk phone setup.
- Conduct onboarding IT training sessions for new employees.
- Perform regular health checks and maintenance of onsite IT equipment.
- Support wireless content display systems and manage tape rotation for backups.
- Assist remote users when required.
Asset & Service Management
- Maintain accurate local inventory of IT assets and peripherals.
- Fulfill non-standard, non-catalogued service requests as needed.
- Ensure consistent onsite presence to support daily IT operations.
Ad-Hoc & Project Support
- Provide "Eyes and Hands" support for server and network administrators.
- Escort external vendors and suppliers within secure IT areas.
- Offer Level 1 support for IT infrastructure and escalate issues appropriately.
- Assist with IT project implementation, including setup, coordination, and execution.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by IT leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience providing end-user IT support across various platforms.
- Practical experience with tools and technologies such as:(SCCM, Active Directory, McAfee,Microsoft Outlook, Office 365,Mobile Device Management (MDM)solutions)
- Familiarity with IT Service Management (ITSM) tools and processes.
- Experience in vendor governance and management.
- Solid technical understanding of modern IT platforms and services, including:(Networking,Hardware,Web and app development,Cloud computing)
- Strong command of English (advanced level in speaking, writing, and reading).
- Excellent communication, research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable Skills
- Prior experience supporting VIP users.
- Microsoft Certified Professional credentials.
- Knowledge and experience with ITIL frameworks and ITSM practices.
