Structural Systems Engineer

 What will you do?  
- Structural and Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible to: 
Develop structural design, technical specifications, schematics, equipment selection, and other data to evaluate the feasibility of designs or applications.
Structural and Mechanical Design Engineer will provide design solutions to meet the customer's requirements, site specifications and local standards during the tendering and execution stage.
The individual will have a diversified portfolio of technical functions consistent with the requirements of the solution including good knowledge on structural design, Revit, Autodesk Robots for structural valiations, as well as software design capabilities for finite elements such as Ansys for designing and validation of Prefab solutions.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Tendering phase:
 
- Participates in the opportunity with the team leader (accountable), internal and external customer or customer's representative to understand and document the owner's project requirements during the influence stage.
 - Understands the standards and local codes of the opportunity.
 - Provides appropriate design documents to support the proposal and allow the tendering team team to complete the overall solution, design and cost.
 - Creates and update templates for easy quotation of structural enclosures and containers, including technical specifications applicable for the project and region.
 - Provides the specifications for the structural equipment/enclosures and compliance and deviation list from vendors.
 - Requests, reviews, and approves sub-consultant proposals to provide a complete set of design documents for the opportunity.
 - Validates design from 3 rd party integrators / vendors to be according to proiect and customer expectations
 - Provides the technical narrative to be incorporated into the proposal.
 - Supports the bid risk assessment.
 
- Construction Phase
 
- Design review and approval for 3rd party solutions for ISO and Non-ISO structures.
 - Design of mechanical and structural elements of prefabricated buildings.
 - Structural validation of steel frames, following the indications of the applicable building codes.
 - Creation of documentation (Manufacturing drawings, calculation notes, transportation and lifting documentation, testing procedures).
 - Provides support and response to the factories for integration.
 - Validates internal/external factories and subcontractors design
 - Participates in recurring construction meetings as required.
 - Supports the execution team.
 - Engineering support function, supporting requests from other engineering teams, factory, commisiong, sub-contractors, services, site support.
 - Provides/validates as-builts drawings at the end of the project from redlines provided by the execution.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES:- Project Engineering and Factory/Comissioning Support:
 
- For projects manufactured in Barcelona facility:
 
- Engineering support function, supporting requests from other engineering teams, factory, commisiong, sub-contractors, services, site support..
 - Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
 
 
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
- Bachelors in Structural, mechanical or civil engineering.
 - Minimum 5 years on structural and mechanical design of steel constructions.
 - Experience into Structural Designing & analysis and Siesmic calculations and analysis.
 - Communication skills.
 - Capability to work in a Multi Discipline Engineering team
 - Microsoft tools, REVIT & CAD, Inventor, Robots, Ideastatica, Ansys or similar
 - Excellent command of English language.
 - Professional user of MS office.
 - Ability to work with team.
