Sr.Design Cooling Engineer

What will you do?

Cooling Systems Engineer is responsible to:

Develop design, technical specifications, schematics, equipment selection, and other data to evaluate the feasibility of designs or applications.

The individual will have a diversified portfolio of technical functions consistent with the requirements of the solution including good knowledge on product selection for Uniflair and 3 rd party suppliers of Prefab solutions. CFDs performance capability and airflow background in very tigh spaces are required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Tendering phase
    • Participates in the opportunity with the team leader (accountable), internal and external customer or customer's representative to understand and document the owner's project requirements during the influence stage.
    • Understands the standards and local codes of the opportunity.
    • Provides appropriate cooling system design documents to support the proposal and allow the tendering team team to complete the overall solution, design and cost.
    • Provides the specifications for the design and compliance and deviation list from vendors.
    • Requests, reviews, and approves sub-consultant proposals to provide a complete set of design documents for the opportunity.
    • Provides the technical narrative to be incorporated into the proposal.
    • Supports the bid risk assessment.

  • Construction Phase
    • Prepares all cooling systems engineering documentation for projects engineers and subcontractors within the scheduled delivery time.
    • Designs cooling topologies, cooling schemes, cooling load, cooling configuration and airflow validation & CFDs as required.
    • Validates cooling complex solutions such as Autodesk CFD, Flowvent, or others.
    • Provides support and response to the factories for integration.
    • Validates internal/external factories and subcontractors design
    • Participates in recurring construction meetings as required.
    • Supports the execution team.
    • Engineering support function, supporting requests from other engineering teams, factory, commisiong, sub-contractors, services, site support.
    • Provides/validates as-builts drawings at the end of the project from redlines provided by the execution.


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical or Themal engineering etc.
  • Minimum of 5 years in the design, application engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years on cooling design, HVAC design for Data Centers is desirable.
  • Communication skills.
  • Capability to work in a Multi Discipline Engineering team.
  • Microsoft tools, REVIT, CAD and any CFD software that might be usable to validate cooling complex solutions such as Autodesk CFD, Flowvent, or others.
  • Excellent command of English language.
  • Professional user of MS office.
  • Ability to work with team.
