Mission

The Services Specialist Subcontractor is responsible for the service delivery/site execution performance delivered to customers by 3rd parties called subcontractors, on behalf or supporting Schneider Electric teams.

He/She ensures that work orders are effectively resourced and executed in a safe (including cybersecurity) and efficient manner, satisfying customers, at required quality standards and budgeted costs.

The Subcontractors Specialist will implement the Service Delivery Strategy defined by the country, managing subcontractor's end to end (consider, select, enable, monitor and evaluate) and building a strong collaboration and performance with them according to yearly Business Plan established by the Field Services VP.

Subcontractor Specialist is key point of contact between Schneider Electric and Subcontractors whether certified or not. She/he is also responsible for certifying and supporting Channel Partners during the service performance.

Activities and areas of responsibility
  • Participate with Field Services VP and Operations Director to Country Service Delivery Strategy definition, based on Make or Buy policies from Lines of Business, which define service activities to be delivered by internal Field Services Representatives, external Subcontractors or Partners
  • Contribute to the selection and Request for Quotation of new Subcontractors with Schneider Procurement leader, defining a win-win relationship with those selected ones, sharing the program guide.
  • Contribute to the selection of new Partners who will perform services, with the Channel Marketing program leader.
  • Get Service Agreement signed between the subcontractors and Schneider Procurement leader in the country, according to local regulations.
  • Accountable for subcontractors and Partners Safety and Cybersecurity compliance with Schneider requirements throughout the life of agreement.
  • Define clearly the Service ordering and invoicing processes between Schneider Electric and Subcontractors, as well as the Supply-Chain for products and spare parts.
  • Assess competency gaps and manage training needs of technicians employed by certified Subcontractors and Partners, updating FSR Competency Management tool accordingly.
  • Ensure efficient and effective planning of the services delivered by Subcontractors to customers, then their execution (safety first, customer satisfaction, quality and efficiency following Schneider procedures), managing escalation through Issue to Prevention process (I2P).
  • Coordinate the communication between Subcontractors and different Schneider teams when required.
  • Measure and challenge Subcontractors services performances, then drive continuous improvement with them defining appropriate actions. Ensure regular audits, like for safety compliance.
  • Participate to the yearly review between Procurement and Subcontractors, providing forecasted resource plan.
  • Encourage detection of Leads Generations by subcontractors
  • Ensure Install Base tracking and accuracy by certified subcontractors.
  • Support licenses renewal for Subcontractors and Partners, based on valid Service Agreement.

Education and skills
  • Normally requires minimum 4-year degree in Business Administration (or related curriculum) and minimum 5+ year experience in people management (Subcontractor coordination, channel or vendor will be a plus).
  • Knowledge on Services operations.
  • Ability to build trust, engage cross functional teams, manage conflicts and create win-win relationship.
  • Safety champion, customer centric culture and excellent communication skills to complete the profile.
