What will you do?

As a Services Lead Consultant in Schneider Electric Japan's Process Automation business, you will leverage your expertise in process engineering and project management to deliver optimal services to clients in the oil, gas, and chemical industries. Your role will span the full project lifecycle-from planning and execution to completion-ensuring high customer satisfaction and contributing to the growth of our services business.

Your impactful responsibilities include:

  • Delivering advanced services using AVEVA process simulation tools for industrial plants.
  • Operator Training Simulator (OTS) using dynamic simulation.
  • Plant improvement and optimization services using process engineering expertise.
  • Process analysis and improvement proposals.
  • Leading project management activities based on customer requirements.
  • Collaborating with sales teams and global stakeholders to drive smooth project execution and identify new service opportunities.
  • Contributing to the technical development of the organization through your expertise.

What skills and capabilities will make you successful?

To thrive in this role, you'll need a strong foundation in process engineering, simulation tools, and project management, along with excellent communication and documentation skills.

Must-Have Skills & Experience:
  • Process Engineering Expertise:
    • Knowledge of chemical engineering.
    • Hands-on experience in oil, gas, or chemical plant operations.
    • Practical experience with process simulators (e.g., AVEVA Dynamic Simulation, AVEVA Process Simulation, PRO/II, ASPEN Plus, ASPEN HYSYS).
  • Project Execution:
    • Experience as a project engineer or project manager.
  • Documentation & Tools:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (functions, pivot tables, VBA, What-if analysis).
    • Skilled in Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio for proposal and presentation creation.
  • Language:
    • TOEIC score of 600+ or equivalent English proficiency.
    • Business level Japanese and above

Nice-to-Have Skills:
    • Experience in control system design and engineering.
    • Knowledge of plant design, construction, and operations.
    • Programming experience or knowledge (C++, C#, Python).
    • Experience in plant digital transformation (visualization, AI utilization).
    • Relevant certifications (e.g., Professional Engineer, Hazardous Materials Handler, High-Pressure Gas Safety Manager, Boiler Engineer).

  • You will report to the Services Principle Lead Consultant within the Process Automation business unit at Schneider Electric Japan.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong combination of technical expertise , project leadership , and communication skills . A background in chemical engineering and hands-on experience with process simulation tools are essential, along with the ability to manage complex projects and collaborate across teams.
