Our Customer Projects and Services team is currently seeking a Services Engineer for a permanent role based at our Sydney office in Macquarie Park.

As a Services Engineer in Industrial Automation, you will play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation and optimization of our clients' automation systems. Reporting to the National Services Manager - Industry, you will provide technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and deliver innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency for our customers.

This exciting new career opportunity will see you:

• Technical Support: Provide expert guidance and support for automation systems, promptly addressing customer inquiries and resolving technical challenges.
• System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to control systems, PLCs, SCADA, MES, software, and other automation technologies.
• Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with clients, understand their needs, and ensure satisfaction with our services.
• Project Implementation: Assist with the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of automation equipment and systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
• Customer-Centric Focus: Take accountability for service delivery performance, with a strong emphasis on understanding customer expectations and driving future demand.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to the development of best practices within the team.

Our ideal candidate will possess:

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology.
• Current or eligible membership with Engineers Australia (MIEAust, TIEAust, AIEAust) and Chartered Engineering Certification.
• 2+ years of experience delivering industrial automation projects and services.
• Minimum of 400 hours of customer-facing or site-based experience (e.g., on-site, remote commissioning, or support).
• Hands-on experience with large managed service agreements and commissioning of medium to large projects.
• Advanced knowledge of Schneider Electric platforms or equivalent competitor products.
• Experience working within Service Level Agreements and delivering on service contract commitments.
• Strong technical documentation skills, including the ability to develop DSS/FDS and system designs.
• Proficiency in MS Office and relevant Schneider Electric applications.
• In-depth understanding of process control, telemetry, and networking principles.
• Proven ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholder groups and strong commercial acumen.
• A growth mindset, strong digital skills, and technical aptitude.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer-centric approach.
• A collaborative mindset, positive energy, and a drive to excel.
