Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior System Integration & Validation Engineer to lead large-scale system integration efforts and end-to-end validation workflows across complex building automation solutions. This role requires deep technical expertise in system-level testing, integration of diverse platforms, and simulation-based scalability validation. The successful candidate will also mentor junior engineers and collaborate across global teams to ensure seamless product delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
System Integration & Scalability Testing
- Lead the setup and integration of large-scale systems, including simulations of up to 200 devices (e.g., TRC scalability testing as performed in Andover).
- Drive integration efforts for hotel-specific setups and ensure seamless interoperability with EcoStruxure Building Operation (EBO) platforms.
- Develop and execute end-to-end validation workflows across hardware, firmware, cloud, and mobile interfaces.
Test Strategy & Execution
- Define and implement system-level test strategies covering functional, integration, performance, and environmental aspects.
- Conduct Temperature Compensation Testing (TRC) and other environmental robustness evaluations.
- Expand test coverage based on evolving product and solution requirements.
Automation & CI/CD
- Own and optimize automated testing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines.
- Lead automation efforts across mobile apps, cloud platforms, and connected devices.
- Collaborate with QA and development teams to integrate automated tests into release cycles.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Mentor junior engineers in system integration, testing methodologies, and automation practices.
- Facilitate collaboration with local and remote teams across Lines of Business (LoBs).
- Participate in design reviews and contribute to architectural decisions to ensure testability and integration readiness.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical, computer, electronics, instrumentation engineering or a related field.
- 15+ years of experience in system integration, validation, and engineering leadership.
- Proven experience with large-scale device simulations and platform integrations.
- Strong knowledge of TRC, RF testing, HALT/HASS, and environmental testing.
- Proficiency in Python and test automation frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, TestRail, Jira, Grafana).
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, RESTful services, and building automation systems.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with EBO and hotel automation solutions.
- Agile/SAFe methodology knowledge.
- Strong communication skills in English and French.
- Experience with virtualization tools (VMware, VirtualBox).
- Hands-on experience with lab tools (oscilloscopes, multimeters, analyzers).
Performance Objectives:
- Deliver scalable and stable system integration environments.
- Ensure high-quality product releases through robust validation workflows.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and test plans.
- Actively contribute to team knowledge sharing and process improvement.
