Senior Quality Engineer - New Product Introduction

The Senior Quality Engineer - New Product Introduction is responsible for ensuring that all quality objectives for new product introduction projects are clearly defined, communicated, and achieved. This role partners closely with the NPI Project Manager and plant teams to guarantee that customer requirements are met and production readiness is achieved within the planned timeline.

What will you do in this role?

  • Collaborate with the NPI Project Manager to ensure project quality goals are understood by all stakeholders and customer requirements are fully met.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to plant teams to execute the NPI Quality Plan on schedule.
  • Ensure manufacturing and quality teams have the necessary processes, tools, and resources to meet project quality objectives.
  • Verify that all deliverables are completed prior to Official Production Signoff Release or appropriately documented under an approved deviation.
  • Facilitate the Production Signoff Release process, ensuring compliance with internal and customer standards.


What qualifications will make you successful in this role?

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in quality leadership within manufacturing or product introduction environments.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, process validation, and customer requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive accountability for quality deliverables.

Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of medium-voltage electrical switchgear design and manufacturing requirements, including NEMA, IEEE, UL, and ANSI standards.
  • Experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), or similar quality planning methodologies.
  • Familiarity with ISO standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Project management exposure or certification (such as PMP) is a plus.
