Senior Project Manager - Data centers market (F/M)

You are joining the Lattes site (near Montpellier), a major R&D and engineering center of Schneider Electric. Since 1993, the Lattes site, where more than 400 people work, has specialized in digital control systems for electrical substations.

You will join the "Major Projects" center within our Digital Power department, which is responsible for managing complex projects for our Data Center clients (Microsoft, Amazon, Equinix...). We design energy management solutions for these clients that provide real-time visibility and control over their electrical installations (power quality and key parameters, backup system availability...) using connected products (protection relays, metering devices...), human-machine interfaces, and software solutions.

You will report to Frédéric, Operations Director, and join a team of 12 people specialized in project execution for our clients worldwide.

Your Role:

In collaboration with our local project centers, you will play a key role in managing a portfolio of critical projects for strategic clients (Microsoft, Amazon, etc.) in the data center sector, on a global scale. You will also coach junior project managers and contribute to improving project management processes within the organization.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Manage project execution relationships with strategic client accounts (reporting, leading continuous improvement workshops, in-project costing, customer satisfaction...)
  • Improve and standardize project deliverables for the same client to enable reuse in future projects, both technically (technical architecture, user interface...) and organizationally (budget, schedule, deliverables...)
  • Supervise and coach project managers in the execution of their projects (support, mentoring, escalation management)
  • Directly manage certain complex projects with high contractual and technical stakes
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of project practices (standardization, quality, performance) in line with Group guidelines
  • Be a driving force in team transformation initiatives (process simplification, team engagement, innovation)

Your Profile:
  • Master's degree (Bac+5), engineering or equivalent, ideally in electrical engineering, automation, or energy
  • Proven experience (6 to 10 years) in managing technical projects directly with external clients
  • Initial experience in the energy, automation, or communication systems sector would be highly appreciated
  • PMP certification would be a plus


Your Skills:
  • Able to influence in English, both spoken and written, including at the highest levels of the organization (international environment)
  • Mastery of Project Management fundamentals (scheduling, finance, risk, contracts, change orders...)
  • Good understanding of electrical architectures and supervision systems (SCADA, HMI, protection relays...)
  • Ability to coach, challenge, and develop teams
