About the Role

  • This role is responsible for the technical leadership of Cloud & Service Provider (C&SP) datacenter cooling scope of projects during the tendering and execution phases.
  • You will be accountable for the cooling solution proposed to customers and delivered during project execution, ensuring compliance with customer requirements, Schneider Electric governance principles, quality standards, project objectives, and contractual commitments.
  • Working closely with Sales, Tender Managers, Project Managers, factories, suppliers, engineering centers, and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), you will lead the cooling technical scope from opportunity development through project closure.
  • You will support the preparation of technical proposals, coordinate with Schneider Electric and partner factories on solution definition, and review and approve detailed engineering deliverables throughout project execution.

Responsibilities:-

Technical Leadership for Tenders
  • Lead the development of cooling solutions for Cloud & Service Provider datacenter opportunities.
  • Analyze customer requirements, specifications, and technical documentation to define compliant and optimized cooling solutions.
  • Develop and validate conceptual, basic, and preliminary cooling designs during tendering.
  • Work closely with factories, suppliers, and engineering platforms to define the proposed cooling architecture.
  • Review technical proposals from Schneider Electric factories and cooling technology partners to ensure compliance with customer and project requirements.
  • Support Tender Managers and Sales teams during technical clarifications, customer presentations, and proposal reviews.
  • Identify technical risks, assumptions, exclusions, and opportunities associated with proposed cooling solutions.
  • Ensure proposed solutions align with Schneider Electric engineering principles related to quality, safety, sustainability, reliability, and energy efficiency.

Technical Leadership for Project Execution
  • Own the cooling technical scope of awarded projects from handover through project completion.
  • Coordinate technical activities between engineering centers, factories, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Review and approve detailed cooling engineering deliverables produced by engineering teams and technology partners.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables comply with customer specifications, project requirements, and Schneider Electric standards.
  • Oversee technical aspects of manufacturing, testing, commissioning, FAT, SAT, and project closeout activities related to cooling systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and decision-making throughout project execution.
  • Ensure design changes and technical deviations are properly assessed, documented, and approved.

Cooling Solution Ownership
  • Ensure proper integration of cooling systems with electrical, monitoring, controls, and prefabricated datacenter solutions.
  • Lead technical activities related to:
    • Chiller plants and chilled water systems
    • Air-cooled cooling solutions
    • CRAH and CRAC units
    • FanWall systems
    • Cooling towers
    • Pumping and hydraulic systems
    • Liquid cooling solutions (Direct-to-Chip, CDU, Immersion Cooling)
    • High-density cooling solutions for AI and HPC applications
    • HVAC controls and optimization
    • Building Management System (BMS) integration
    • Thermal management and cooling capacity planning
    • Energy efficiency and sustainability optimization


Stakeholder & Factory Coordination
  • Act as the primary technical interface for cooling-related matters within assigned tenders and projects.
  • Coordinate technical discussions with Schneider Electric factories and cooling technology partners.
  • Ensure alignment between factory deliverables and project requirements.
  • Support supplier technical evaluations and approval processes.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Tender Managers, procurement teams, engineering centers, and commissioning teams.


What qualifications will make you successful?
  • 7+ years leading technical scopes of customer projects or major project work packages.
  • Experience in Datacenter, Cloud & Service Provider, Hyperscale, Colocation, or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience preparing technical proposals and leading technical execution of cooling projects.
  • Experience coordinating technical activities with engineering centers, factories, suppliers, and project teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in datacenter cooling systems and thermal management solutions.
  • Strong customer-facing and stakeholder management capabilities.
