Objective/Mission:

With a permanent position working for Schneider Electric Regional Execution Platform (REP), Delhi,
The UPS Application Design Senior Engineer role is both Pre & Post order mainly dedicated to
Datacenter business and E-house (O&G and MMM) segments.
During the Pre order phase, the primary task is to work with Tender Managers and support to
increase SE market share and revenue within specific Partner/End-user, using technical solution
design and implementation through the application of SE UPS solutions with dedicated calculations
supporting choice of each solution.
Post order the role is heavily focused on the delivery of Solution orders the SE organization has
secured. The Expert will be responsible for all aspects of the technical elements of a solutions
order, whilst working closely with Project Manager and Technical Leader of the project. The aim of
the role being to deliver a best in class UPS technical solution using robust and vigorous design tools
and processes.
The position will be accountable for working within critical power environments for large
organizations, across a wide customer base, demonstrating excellent communication and complete
ownership of given tasks. These tasks will include review customer technical evaluations, propose
solution, perform design documents, testing and commissioning, start-up on new installed
equipment, maintenance and service activities on a variety of different UPS solutions.

Experience, Skills and Key Responsibility:
Understand customer power backup needs and propose suitable UPS solutions during offer stage
Perform Design and Technical documents for customer approval during execution stage.
Prepare necessary design calculations, customized testing & commissioning test documentation. technical elements of any O&M Manual, etc.
Support Project Technical Lead to integrate UPS system in the overall design and delivery scope
Participate in customer technical meetings for design review and approval

working closely with Project Manager and Technical Leader of the project. The aim of the role being to deliver a best in class UPS solution to customer
Perform customer FAT testing and Level-2 support
This position is responsible to provide professional services for Schneider Electric customers and technical support/training for service partners, including technical site analysis to
resolve customer issues and to perform field service duties on Schneider Electric's complete range of UPS products and solutions.
Participate and lead in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
Perform consulting services at customer site as well as over the phone.
Work with customers, contractors, service partners, other members of the team, Sales
Partners, Tech Support, and Manager to resolve escalated problems.
Document all required information for each site visit performed.
Manage installation projects as well as unit replacement when necessary.
Educate Schneider Electric customers on basic operation of their equipment. Inform
customers of issues which they may have experience with their equipment in a way which is
beneficial to the customer as well as Schneider Electric.
Must comply with all safety policies, practices, procedures, and cybersecurity

Skills and Attributes:
More than 8 years' experience within UPS industry or similar.
Professional technical bachelor or equivalent by experience
In-depth knowledge of electricity/electronics principles and codes
Strong and demonstrable customer skills
Very good knowledge of MS Office and being computer literate
Good understanding of Schneider Electric
An entrepreneur who is flexible and has a positive attitude.
Excellent listening & communication skills, ability to influence others and to build strong
business networks
Proactive and open-minded personality with passion to work
Must take international travel 50% of the time
Experience and skills we are looking for:
Bachelor or Master's degree in university or similar qualification in Electrical Engineering
English language fluent mandatory
More than 10 years of experience in UPS solution
Experience in performing design calculation for UPS selection and propose solution as per
project and customer requirements
Experience in any competitor range of UPS , Schneider (Secure Power) UPS range experience is an advantage
Battery sizing calculation and selection ranges
Confirmed experience writing FAT/SAT Test protocols, Site installation, Testing and Commissioning
Willingness to travel up to 50% of time
Thorough understanding of all aspects of UPS systems, key components and its applications for IT/Data Centers/O&G/Buildings segments
Experience in the production of design documentation & its associated process review.
Understanding and experienced in project's business and environment
Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills
Understanding of Power Systems / IT products and services

Other Skills:
Communication with all levels of management in verbal and written form.
Ability to read, interpret technical specifications and able to review drawings
Good problem-solving skills.
Customer service orientated.
Proficient computer skills including MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access,

Bacher/Master Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering
Minimum 8 to 10 years experience in UPS Technical field
