About the Role
Schneider Electric is seeking an experienced and strategic legal professional to join our growing legal team as Senior Legal Counsel Competition Europe. This newly established position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of our competition law function and to provide expert legal guidance across a wide range of European jurisdictions.

Reporting to the Associate General Counsel Competition, you will play a key role in advising on complex competition law matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting strategic business initiatives across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert legal advice on EU and national competition law, with a particular focus on complex behavioural matters.
  • Support legal and operational teams across Europe by managing competition-related queries and offering practical, risk-based guidance.
  • Represent the company in interactions with national and EU competition authorities, including managing investigations and responding to regulatory inquiries.
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of internal compliance programs, policies, and training initiatives.
  • Monitor and assess regulatory developments, ensuring timely adaptation of internal processes and controls.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on strategic projects, aligning legal and commercial objectives.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of competition law through internal training and communication initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience
  • Advanced legal degree (LL.M.) with a specialization in European competition law.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years within a European competition authority and/or an international in-house legal team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in advising on a broad spectrum of competition law matters, including novel and complex issues.
  • Strong command of English (written and spoken); proficiency in additional European languages is advantageous.
  • Experience working in international, multi-jurisdictional environments.
  • Proven ability to manage projects and lead cross-functional initiatives.
