ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide high level of engineering support for Schneider Electric standard products
- Provide product application engineering support through right configuration selection, identifying & highlighting any application issues, providing solution for customized product application requirement, etc.
- The engineering support includes areas of UPS, batteries, electrical panels, busbar selection, power cables, power distribution products, transfer switches, transformers, generators, power monitoring solutions, Switch gear and other electrical components.
- Ensure that applications are in line with customer needs and safety standards
- Evaluating/designing/qualifying 3rd party products, providing product engineering drawings & documentation support, specification clarification & technical support, specify for the product adaptation team the requirements.
- Design and develop the UPS Auxiliary, PDU product according to global engineering codes and standards
- Manage engineering projects and deliver them on time

• Work closely with the core design team and product as per the specification /Approved Drawings
• Ensure Production team/vendor is assembling the product as per the design
• Support quality control to ensure products are manufactured as per the specifications
• Help develop, implement, and maintain manufacturing processes and systems
• Upon Customer feedback/ requests related to quality improvements or enhancements on existing products
• Validate the design by carrying out the tests, production of prototypes
• Contribute towards competency improvement

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
• Proficiency in 3 Phase UPS technologies, Power Distribution Unit (PDU), DC Breaker, Maintenance Bypass Panel, Electrical Panel product used in data centre solution
• Strong Knowledge in Busbar design & Calculation, Selection of Switch Gears, Selection of Power and Control Cables according to global engineering codes and standards
• Good Qualification skills & knowledge about 3 Phase PDU, UPS, Batteries, Electrical panels and AC/DC Breakers, cables, power distribution products, transfer switches, transformers, generators, power monitoring solutions, PCBA and other electrical components
- Strong Knowledge in Electrical AutoCAD and able to create GA, SLD and Submittal Drawings
• Strong knowledge in engineering design deliverables DFM, DFMEA, PFMEA, FTA, CQCS
• Understanding customer requirement & specify for the product adaptation requirements. Suggesting a technically ideal and commercially viable solution to the customer / consultant (end to end solution) with available product basket
• Create production document (Drawing, work instructions, Quality Check Sheet) for all in-house Manufactured product or third party products
• Identify & qualify vendors for 3rd party products & solutions - Eg: Transformers. Electrical Panels
• Good knowledge in understanding the power and control architectures of 3 Phase PDU/PMM products. Validate the prototype as per the requirement.
- Identify the risks in adapted product offers & create the risk mitigation plans together with design team
• Provide feedback to vendors and design engineers with recommendations for improvements to the solutions.
• Provide & design special test plans to evaluate the adapted solution according to the expected specification from the customer.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Good knowledge in UPS designs & different topologies
• Good knowledge in power electronics circuits like, Charger, Inverter, Battery configurations, High DC voltage systems etc
• High level skills needed in planning/execution of analysis/simulation/fault reproduction etc
• Good knowledge about electronic/electrical components, knowledge about analogue/digital components/circuits understanding with analysis/trouble shooting skills
- Good understanding in Lab related tools usage
o Good knowledge in safety standards, electrical codes, Symbols, earthing systems etc
EDUCATION - MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent
EXPERIENCE - MINIMUM REQUIRED:
- 5-7 yrs or more experience in Electrical Engineering or equivalent in critical power systems
- Strong Knowledge in Electrical AutoCAD design and related knowledge/skills etc.
