The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced Senior BMS Project Engineer to join our Digital Building Business in Brisbane. As the Senior Project Engineer you will be responsible for successfully leading the engineering delivery of Major Construction Projects for the team. Cohesive coordination of the input of all key internal and external stakeholders ranging from Mechanical contractors, major Builders, Consultants, Service to customer site employees.
You'll ensure successful delivery of engineering outputs for the assigned major projects portfolio, executed by yourself and other project engineers.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- BMS Control system design, implementation, and documentation
- Definition of scope - Drafting and presentation of Funtional Descriptions - Project based
- Assessment of customer site for installation requirements, installation design
- Prepare submittals in respect to Schneider engineering standards, ensuring commitment dates are met. Review submittals with sales and delivery teams and lead Engineering team to obtain submittal approval
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of building automation system principles and design.
- Planning / scheduling of project execution including attendance to builder's design meetings
- Provide technical direction to project team members
- Ensure all Engineering/Techical Issues or Risks are recorded and communicated to the Project Manager/Project Director
- Ensure commissioning, testing and final tuning of the project is finished on time with record documentation
- Represent the company in a professional manner whilst ensuring all statutory & safety standards are met

Team and Development:
As a Senior Engineer you'll enjoy providing guidance to Project Managers on technical Issues, mentoring junior engineering staff to assist in their continued development and across technical aspects of project delivery.
- Ensure effective collaboration with team members to ensure all efficiencies are maximised. Active involvement in Schneider Electrics Engineering Efficiency Program.
- Participation in Schneider Electric Web based Social Forums - Teams Groups.
In addition, you have the following skills:
- Essential - Tertiary or trade qualifications in a related discipline (Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic) Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics would be highly advantageous
- Essential - Advanced computer skills
- Essential - Previous experience with the Commercial Construction industry BMS - discipline
- Essential - Previous experience working with highly complex control solutions
- Knowledge of networking, database technology and trends in BMS / HVAC would be highly advantageous.
- Electrical License - Preferred but not essential
