Senior Assistant II, Service Order Management

What will you do?

We are looking for a Senior Assistant II, SOM to support our Canada operations and oversee key booking and planning activities across the Service Order Management function.

This role will initially focus on operational support and team oversight while developing into a broader Team Lead role as the organization continues to grow. The successful candidate will partner with multiple stakeholders, oversee end-to-end booking and planning activities, and provide guidance to a team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee end-to-end booking and planning processes to ensure smooth operational execution.
  • Support and guide a team while promoting operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on priorities and deliverables.
  • Monitor workload distribution and support team performance.
  • Assist in managing operational challenges and escalations.
  • Drive process coordination and ensure activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business.
  • Support onboarding, knowledge sharing, and capability development within the team.
  • Work closely with the Senior SOM for training and succession into future leadership responsibilities.


Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in any discipline.
  • Experience in Service Order Management, Order Management, Planning, Booking, Customer Operations, Shared Services, or a related field.
  • Strong stakeholder management and coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple activities and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced operational environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience overseeing or mentoring team members.
  • Previous Team Lead, Supervisor, SME, or People Management experience.
  • Background in Service Order Management (SOM).
  • Experience supporting booking and planning activities.
  • Experience supporting global stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or similar tools.
