The Role: Business Finance Senior Analyst

The Business Finance Senior Analyst will serves as a key finance partner supporting the Hyderabad Manufacturing Plant. The role is responsible for delivering accurate product costing, manufacturing cost analysis, and cost performance insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.

Working closely with plant finance, operations, procurement, and supply chain stakeholders, you will ensure costing accuracy, drive cost transparency, validate productivity and cost-saving initiatives, and provide actionable financial insights. You will also contribute to process standardization, continuous improvement, and digital transformation initiatives to enhance costing efficiency and business performance.

Product Costing & Manufacturing Cost Management

  • Lead end-to-end product costing activities across GSC manufacturing plants in India, ensuring accurate and timely cost reporting.
  • Maintain and validate standard costs, including annual cost roll-ups and periodic updates to ensure costing accuracy.
  • Analyze manufacturing costs, including direct materials, labor, overhead, freight, and inventory-related costs.
  • Partner with plant operations, procurement, industrialization, and supply chain teams to identify cost drivers and improvement opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyze Purchase Price Variance (PPV), Bill of Materials (BOM), routings, and manufacturing variances to ensure costing integrity.
  • Ensure accurate costing structure for new product introductions, product transfers, and engineering changes.
  • Validate cost savings initiatives, productivity projects, localization efforts, and other manufacturing improvement programs.

Financial Analysis & Business Performance
  • Deliver insightful analysis of manufacturing performance through cost, productivity, and profitability reporting.
  • Perform variance analysis between actual results, standard costs, forecasts, and budgets, identifying key business drivers and risks.
  • Analyze:
    • Product cost performance
    • Material cost evolution
    • Direct labor productivity
    • Purchase productivity
    • Price, Volume, Mix, and FX impacts
    • Freight and logistics costs
    • Inventory-related performance indicators
  • Translate financial results into actionable insights and recommendations for business leaders.


Planning, Forecasting & Reporting
  • Support monthly closing activities related to costing and manufacturing performance.
  • Prepare and maintain manufacturing cost forecasts, budgets, and financial outlooks.
  • Provide regular reporting and analysis to Finance Business Partners, Plant Leadership Teams, and GSC stakeholders.
  • Support Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) through meaningful financial insights and performance narratives.

Business Partnering
  • Act as the trusted finance partner for GSC manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with plant finance, procurement, supply chain, industrialization, engineering, and operations teams to support business objectives.
  • Provide financial guidance for operational decisions, productivity programs, sourcing initiatives, and manufacturing investments.
  • Challenge assumptions, identify risks, and support informed decision-making through data-driven analysis.


Data Analytics, Digitalization & Continuous Improvement
  • Extract, analyze, and interpret large and complex datasets to drive operational and financial insights.
  • Develop automated reporting solutions and dashboards to improve visibility and decision-making.
  • Leverage tools such as Power BI, Power Query, Power Automate, Tableau, UiPath, or similar solutions to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
  • Drive standardization, simplification, and continuous improvement of costing and financial processes across GSC plants.
  • Support deployment of global costing and FP&A processes, tools, and best practices.


Preferred Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing finance, costing, FP&A, or cost accounting.
  • Strong experience in:
    • Product Costing
    • Standard Costing
    • Manufacturing Variance Analysis
    • Inventory Costing
    • Purchase Price Variance (PPV) Analysis
    • Productivity and Cost Savings Validation
  • Experience supporting multi-site manufacturing organizations is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, BOMs, routings, labor and overhead allocations.
  • Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, HFM/EPM, or equivalent ERP systems.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power Query, and financial analytics.
  • Experience with Power BI or other visualization platforms is an advantage.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders across finance and operations.
