SAP Service Management Functional Expert

Schneider Electric is seeking a passionate and experienced SAP S/4HANA Service Management (SM) Functional Expert (internally titled "Technical Product Owner"/TPO) to support a major digital transformation initiative. This role will focus on migrating key service-related business processes from legacy ERP systems to SAP S/4HANA, specifically within the Service Management (SM) domain. The TPO will play a critical role in shaping and delivering scalable, modern solutions that support long-term business growth across a North American entity with over 200 locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and process expertise and drive solution and process standardization across Service Management.
- Provide leading practice on design decisions and drive resolution with Product Managers/Owners.
- Confirm process scope and required customizations with Product Managers/Owners.
- Work with Product Managers/Owners to identify and quantify value drivers.
- Collaborate with Solution Architects to provide functional input and expertise for the Solution Roadmap and Architecture Runway.
- Participate in and support Scrum teams during sprint planning, execution, documentation, and delivery of user stories.
- Help teams segment, sequence, and prioritize work efforts.
- Drive development and testing of the technical solution.
- Assist in addressing risks and clearing impediments.
- Provide guidance and guardrails to ensure alignment with solution vision.
- Encourage innovation and problem-solving to address user concerns without unnecessary customizations.
- Help define test scope and ensure end-to-end service processes are appropriately covered.
- Drive defect resolution and remove roadblocks.
- Collaborate with functional and development teams to ensure timely delivery of user stories.
- Work with Change Management on stakeholder engagement activities.
- Help develop and execute a comprehensive cutover plan encompassing business and technical activities for the end-to-end solution.
- Participate in program ceremonies, including Program Increment Planning and backlog grooming.

- Bachelor of Science, preferably in computer science or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of Service Order Management and Service Projects planning and execution capabilities, including:
- Cost rate & labor hours (estimates/planned & actual)
- Expense management
- Material management
- Work Order management
- Workforce management
- Report management
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a technology/functional consultant in Service Management.
- Multi-platform experience and strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA Service Management capabilities, including dependencies/integrations with Finance, Sales & Distribution, and Supply Chain Management.
- Demonstrated experience leading multiple complex ERP implementation projects.
- Hands-on experience with SAP S/4HANA, including solution design, build, and implementation.
- Experience designing and developing solutions using integration/middleware technologies (SAP PI, SAP PO, SAP CPI, MuleSoft, etc.).
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle and SAP/Salesforce implementation methodologies.
- Familiarity with Agile principles and frameworks, including Scrum and/or Kanban. SAFe experience highly desired.
- Strong planning, organization, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to advocate for process standardization and articulate key considerations.
- Proven ability to manage large-scale work efforts and coordinate distributed teams.
- End-to-end understanding of service-related business processes and solutions.
- Experience with large business transformation programs leveraging SAP and Salesforce technologies.
- Excellent skills in servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and transparency.
- Strong collaboration and prioritization skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Experience with Open Order and Master Data Migration activities from legacy systems into federated ERPs.
- Knowledge of SAP MM and its integration points with SM.
- Experience with Salesforce and ServiceMax ecosystems.
- SAFe certification or experience working in a SAFe Agile environment.
- Knowledge in Bridge Front Office and ServiceMax
