About the Role:

Sales Director, Industrial Automation Division for Schneider Japan, which will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals, identifying opportunities for growth and driving success with existing customers.

What will you do?

  • Lead activities and performance of the entire IA sales team, including or excluding Partner Alliance and Sales Engineer functions; depends on candidates' experience.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans within the country for driving aggressive and sustainable growth
  • Identify and develop strategies (together with the Business Vice President as Division Head and Marketing functions) to penetrate target accounts/markets and drive customer diversification to improve Schneider Electric's presence in the country and across all sales channels, including distribution sales
  • Responsible for the sales team establishment including overall recruitment and selection of sales personnel and ensure proper training and staffing levels, in collaboration with HR
  • Retain and develop talents through coaching and engagement activities
  • Maintain effective communication with the whole sales team and communicate strategies, goals, and actively provide feedback
  • Interface with all levels of management to engage on pricing and terms negotiations and to resolve business challenges as they may come: skillfully communicate especially with C-level customers

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
  • Bachelors degree or above
  • At least 5 years of expertise in Industrial Automation and/or the industrial technology sector (software or hardware)
  • Proven capability of leading a sales organization with team management experience
  • Experience as leader driving strategy and team facilitation
  • Experience with financial, cost, pricing and data-driven analytical skills
