Quotation Specialist - MCC

Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a MCC Quotation Specialist in our Edmonton (AB) location.

What will you do?

You will be accountable for preparation of quotations for product/project orders while driving a high level of customer satisfaction. You will analyze the needs of the customer and deliver a solution based on the customer's application requirements.

  • Review RFQ's for clarity of request, suitability for Schneider Electric product offering, risk assessment, profitability, and time given to complete quotations.
  • Initiate RFQ discussion with Tender manager, Tender lead, and Sales to discuss requirements, advise recommendations, and suggest optimizations.
  • Match products to customer specifications and drawings by demonstrating knowledge of products.
  • Optimize offering to improve success and customer experience.
  • Review customer specifications/drawings to ensure quote is technically compatible and competitive.
  • Understands, analyzes, documents, and communicates contractual and technical terms and conditions relative to the company standard.
  • Maintains a current understanding of quote strategies and market conditions.
  • Identify and promote opportunities to improve the quotation process and measure effectiveness.
  • Attends & assists for both internal & external inquires/meetings during project execution.

What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical/Electronics (preferred) or relevant experience
  • Quotation experience (preferred)
  • 3-5 years of experience in the electrical industry
  • Ability to understand single line diagrams, schematics, and specifications
  • Experience with electrical products used within Motor Control Center (MCC) (highly preferred)
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
