Quality Technician- Fabrication - 1st Shift

Schneider Electric is seeking an Quality Technician for 1st shift to join our team in Mt Juliet, TN . This role is responsible for performing product testing within the fabrication department to ensure quality and compliance with specifications.
What will your responsibilties be?
- Measure parts throughout each process of Fabrication to guarantee parts meet quality standards, identify abnormalities and keep records of inspections
- Collaborate with Engineering to identify issues and problem solve
- Follow applicable Job Breakdown sheets (JBSs) and Testing Procedures, monitor and report issues as they are identified in the Fabrication production floor
- Prepare detailed inspection reports and failure records while meeting project deadlines with a strong customer focus
- Utilize measurement equipment and maintain them in good conditions - such as calipers, digital tape measures, micrometers
- Wear prescribed Personal Protective Equipment and maintain it in good condition. Immediately report hazards, incidents, and accidents to supervisors.
- Adhere to Provincial HS&E legislation, regulations, and company policies

- High school diploma or GED required. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship and able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality roles
- Proficient in using measurement equipment including but not limited to; calipers, digital tape measures, micrometers
- Validate and correct existing technical documents, including test procedures
- Capable of managing technical tasks with minimal supervision
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret schematics (engineering drawings)
- Computer proficient with excellent organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) for effective collaboration
- Previous experience in Fabrication and assembly is a plus
Basic Requirements :
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) is required ; safety shoes and safety glasses must be worn on the production floor
- Work is performed in a Manufacturing Environment, where p rolonged period(s) of standing is required for duration of shift .
- Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, bend, squat, and climb a ladder to perform work.
- Ability to lift 26 pounds occasionally or 22 pounds independently and repetitively.
