Purchasing Supervisor

What do you get to do in this position?

  • Manage the purchasing/planning and expediting of goods and services for the company, meeting MRP requirements in full and on time to meet the needs of our customers
  • Develop key strategies to enhance relationships with suppliers and internal customers
  • Provide leadership and support to all team members and projects as required
  • Manage, monitoring and report on supplier performance
  • Support inventory management through accurate and timely MRP plan execution, and consignment and stock holding programs.
  • Manages execution and tracking of procurement activities within the team, while ensuring quality of delivery service at improved transactional cost.
  • Weekly data analysis and corrective action for KPI metrics such as: Supplier OTD, Lead time, DOH, PO on time, Purchase order cycle time, PO Ack, Exception Messages, MRBR, Premium Freight, Workflows.
  • Create, develop, and implement purchasing processes and procedures.
  • Develop new or modify existing tools to create department efficiencies
  • Provide training on purchasing procedures and processes.
  • Weekly reporting on expediting and purchasing activities, team projects and results
  • Manages a team of employees; including hiring decisions, providing feedback on performance; development to ensure career growth and promote succession planning
  • Develop actions plans to address gaps in Discrepancies, Invoices in hold, Suppliers Delay,any purchasing oportunity.
  • Maintain safe and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures

This job might be for you if:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • +8 years of experience working in Purchasing.
  • Material control & analysis (Kanban, Consumables,ROP, OFO).
  • Mandatory: Experience in SAP (Materials Management Module)
  • Leadership & Analitic
  • Excellent negotiation and comunication skills, Organization, Autonomus, Hands On, Team collaboration.
  • Advanced English skills.
