Schneider Electric has a challenging opportunity for a passionate individual with an entrepreneurial and growth mindset to assume role of Product Manager in the Digital Services offer management team of Digital Buildings Division. The Product Manager will play a pivotal role in creating new capabilities that lead to digitization of traditional field services for building maintenance; generating value for end-users; efficiency and differentiation for SE and its partner network. The Buildings Business of Schneider Electric provides intelligent building management solutions to help customers create a productive and comfortable environment for its occupants, reduce energy consumption, and run building operations more efficiently.
In this global role, you will lead the development for a suite of technical products with multiple R&D teams and collaborate closely with commercial and operations teams to support the offer. The right candidate will have a proven track record of developing and managing digital tools, web-based platform, award winning UI/UX for B2B industries. The position requires strong communication, influencing and analytic skills, technical and business acumen, relationship development skills and a motivational style. Collaboration and partnering within Schneider Electric's global organization and across teams is critical for success.
Primary Responsibilities
Own the successful development and evolution of the product portfolio enabling digital services. The role will lead the various activities involved in creating new product functionalities with internal & external R&D team through agile development approach. Engage with offer launch team and operations managers to support development of technical assets and adaptation to reach new segments and geographies.
- Lead the product development with R&D teams
- Articulate product requirements through clear, actionable user stories/requirements
- Develop prioritized product backlog to optimize customer engagement, revenues, and busines goals
- Lead and animate a User Advisory Board to explore the evolution of product functionality
- Own the technical product roadmap for organic and in-organic development through partners
- Collaborate with UX expert & development team to design intuitive interfaces from concept to production
- Collaborate with product managers of adjacent offers to explore synergies & prioritize dependencies
- Lead the creation of technical publications, web-help, how-to-videos, etc.
- Lead creation of solution assets and initiatives to support commercialization and operations
- Support offer-launch team of commercial, marketing, operations, support with technical assets for launch
- Engage in discovery with lead segments (CRE, Healthcare, LifeSciences) to identify product customizations
- Create technical training for new product launches explaining use-cases, architecture, work-flow, etc.
- Be the data-steward to develop guidelines for registration, connected asset & operations dashboard
- Work with CyberSecurity and Legal teams to develop the EULA, ToU, Data Privacy, SDL documents
- Support development of an operations guideline for remote bureau and country delivery teams
- Lead new solution discovery & technology anticipation
- Drive pilot of few features & functionality with target user & global customers with support of CSMs
- Engage with CTO teams and potential technology partners in assessment of new solutions
- Engage in defining proof-of-concept projects to de-risk product selection, development & execution
- Lead the strategy and support data-integration initiatives with technology partners
Desired skills and competencies
- 5+ years of product management experience, leading cloud-based analytics and service management platform
- Strong blend of business and technical savvy with a proven track record of creating and delivering new products
- Exceptional critical thinking & analytical skills to make informed & fast decisions related to product feature design
- Hands-on experience, working with UI/UX & software engineering team; operating within SAFe/Agile framework
- Expert in user research methodologies and tools, build user community and engagement strategies
- Preference for candidates with experience in the building management or industrial automation
- Driven, decisive, & an unrelenting desire to challenge the status quo; excellent at communicating & collaborating
Education qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (computer science, engineering, business, design), MBA a plus.
