Procurement Engineer

What will you do?

1. Technical sound in various mechanical parts manufacturing, material and cost analysis:

  • Manufacturing processes (Casting, stamping, injection molding)
  • Material (ferrous and non-ferrous material, market index)
  • Cost (ability to analyze, estimate, understand and challenge the cost breakdown with proposal to optimize the cost)

2. Ability to build strong rapport and collaboration with multiple stakeholders locally (S/chain, Quality, Engineering) and globally (LoB, central team, category team).

3. Experience in building strong supplier relationship with suppliers from different geography (China, India, EAJP and Europe) and solving complex issues.

4. Drive sustainable purchasing productivity through Negotiation, QVE, rebalancing/localization, LEAN with suppliers, change of supplier, material standardization, e-Reverse Auction...etc.).

5. Work with regional and global commodity manager in defining and deploying category strategy, contract management, identify business needs, market evolution, and take action to mitigate supplies risk.

6. New supplier sourcing and development to meet business growth and needs.

7. Support to resolve operational issues and conflicts with suppliers.

8. Support cross functional team to drive supplier quality and delivery performance.

9. Collaborate with suppliers to promote co-development and to facilitate innovation, drive "Green" initiative (e.g., recycled resin, zero carbon program, green packaging...etc)

10. Conduct regular business review with suppliers.

11 Drive achievement of various KPI (Keep good control of productivity, payment, inventory & LT reduction...etc)

12. Prepare & present Monthly and Quarterly performance and propose gap closure actions
  • Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related.
  • Min. 5-year experience in Procurement
  • Fluent English, and Bahasa Indonesia
  • Proven track record in supplier negotiation and drive cost reduction through various levers
  • Good experience in proposing ideas to drive technical productivity
  • Good understanding of market players with ability to source and propose cost-saving through Change of suppliers
  • Good in Microsoft excel, ppt, SAP
  • Fast learner and curious in learning new skills/ digital tools (tableau, eRA, internal tools etc.)
  • Possess strong convincing and influencing skills to drive changes and result in front of different stakeholders
  • Resourceful and enjoy taking the initiative to connect with people
