We are looking for Principle Technucal Leader to join our team!
Your mission:
- Act as the leader of complex technical integrated solutions and be the single point of contact regarding all project technical topics.
- Gather and understand customer main technical drivers & criteria and leverage the portfolio of solutions and technologies available within SE in order to meet customer expectations
- Be connected with SE Line of Businesses and be up-to-date on the last technical evolutions of equipment/systems to leverage it to the benefit of customer future technical solutions
- Make sure customer technical requirements of the project RFQ are considered (in terms of performance, quality, costs, and time) and technical deviation are identified and proactively recommend technical solutions/enhancements to customer central technical team to meet main customer drivers (i.e.: cost, Leadtime, scalability, robustness, sustainability....)
- Lead the design activities of this new/enhanced solution, with target to standardize it to all regions/countries to drive efficiencies. Ensure the technical solution meets SE technical governance principle (safety, quality, robustness, Cybersecurity....)
- Built complete technical design package of the approved/standardized technical solution to be used to transfer knowledge across countries/regions
- Lead knowledge transfer of the customer approved solution to SE engineering teams in region/countries for its future deployment.
- Ensure that the standardized solution is applied properly in every tenders regardless of the projects location to drive consistency and efficiencies, Coordinate all technical solutions of customer complex integrated projects
- Work closely with the customers to clarify its technical needs; and can take part of the negotiation of technical parts with final customer.
- Be the technical referent during Tender & during Execution, Leading a technical team composed of "customer project technical leaders and engineers" (i.e. DPT4-DPT5-DPT6), and ensure technical coordination of all projects stakeholders;
- Gather lessons learned/best practices during projects tender and execution in order to continuously improve the design and straightforward its deployment from one country to another
- Build strong business relationships with internal stakeholders and external key decision makers in the following value chain contributors, End-User, Developer, Consultants / Specifiers & Builders
- Challenge Opportunity team in order to reduce the technical risks and optimized the technical solutions (lean scoping, secured design, competitive offer...);
- Make sure our solution answer to customer requirements in compliance with the contract.
- Master technical risks of the overall technical solution designed and delivered.

Key Activities & Responsibilities:
Technical Offer:
- Lead & approve basic and detailed design of all technical aspects of an integrated solution, in line with customer requirements (technical performance);
- Make sure the project technical team delivers according to the project planning;
- Monitor technical costs, make sure budget for the technical part is under control;
- Oversee all technical implementation activities done at factories or supplier premises and testing facilities until project closure.
Technical coordination of Tender stakeholders:
- Work in close collaboration with PM & other technical designers and engineers who take care of part of the technical scope;
- Identifies whether specific expertise support is needed and coordinate the expertise actions if any;
- Lead and coordinate all technical aspects of the sub-contracted parts of the project, in strong coordination with procurement team;
- Act as a single point of contact for customers and all project stakeholders regarding the technical content of the project; and ensure technical coordination among the project team (GAC-IG,SO, Electra, C&SP, REPs, Factories, etc.).-Ensure good communication to the project team regarding technical decisions and strategy of the project
Design & Implementation:
- Perform and review design and specification activities by optimizing the use of Schneider Electric's portfolio of products and systems to maximize profitability and minimize technical risks. This would ideally include all the following areas; e-house integration, site installation, MV, LV, transformers, UPSs, busways, C&P, cooling, and BMS from the predesign stage through to L5 commissioning. May also participate in implementation and testing activities (e.g., FAT, SAT, prototype demos, etc.).
Risk & Opportunity management, Change management, Alert:
- Master the technical risks & opportunities of the project; Conduct change management and negotiate major changes implications for Schneider Electric
- Work closely with PM and Exe TL to specify the changes and their implications for Schneider Electric (including cost impact evaluation), until getting a variation order
- Follow up on Exe TL and PM to identify any substantial issue that could affect the project performance or customer satisfaction
Customer interactions:
- Lead technical strategy in line with customer;
- Take the proper technical decision to ensure project interest and customer satisfaction;
- Act as the key and trusty contact person for all technical topics related to the project.
Quality process, Methods, Tools:
- Drive standardization of technical solutions and processes across the accounts under his/her responsibility to ensure consistent support for customers in all regions.
- Support Exe TL & PM to ensure full compliance with Schneider-Electric processes (especially CPP & TDP), and with quality instructions, safety requirements and governance principles;
- Lead the technical team to correct any technical deviations or quality issues occurring during project execution
Community of practices & Coaching:
- Take part of Technical Leaders' Community of Practice within her/his Execution Centre, or globally within Technical Excellence Community network;
- Identify, get, formalize, share and promote lessons learned and best practices.
- Act as role model and/or coach junior technical engineers and designers.
- Be connected with LoBs and stay tuned on the last technical evolutions of equipment & systems (in her/his field of engineering, acting then as a referent in the Community) to ensure good communication & knowledge of project technical challenges and decision s.
Qualifications:
- Bsc degree in Engineering - PMP & MBA is a Plus
- Certified UPTIME
- Technical experience in the Datacentre segment
- 10 years in leading technical scope of Data Center projects/tenders, or parts of large & international customer project opportunities.
- Technical experience in MV, LV, UPSs, Tx, Busbar, EPMS, Cooling Equipment and BMS (Ideally all fields).
Skills:
- Ability to lead with agility in a complex & matrix environment.
- Ability to communicate (written, verbal) clearly in a concise and synthetic manner on complex technical strategy.
- Ability to convince stakeholders on the proper project technical strategy
- Ability to learn from others, share her/his knowledge, coach others and collaborate efficiently
- Ability to read and understand applicable standards
