Principal, Product Owner - AI Technology

You r role :

No great AI without great data: We are looking for a Product Owner (Data Stream) to own the backlog and outcomes of data capabilities for the various flavors of the AI Platform (Azure and AWS, with Databricks as the backbone).

You will productize managed services and reusable artefacts, drive adoption namely in the context of AI Democratization, and strengthen vendor governance with Databricks.

This role requires a strategic and technically fluent leader who can work transversally across teams, align diverse stakeholders, and translate user needs into scalable platform features. It's an opportunity to shape a high-impact product used across the company and gain visibility at the intersection of AI technology, Data and business transformation.

The role is embedded in an Agile SAFe environment and requires close collaboration with technical experts, architects and scrum masters, providing strong transversal leadership to align product vision, priorities, and value delivery across Agile Release Trains.

You r responsibilities :

  • Product Vision & Value
    • Define and evolve the AI Platform products and associated services related to your scope, ensuring high operational quality, reliability, and usability for internal customers.
    • Own the product vision, positioning, and service definition of the AI Platform, beyond individual features.
    • Define success metrics and track outcomes (adoption, usage, reliability, impact) to drive value-based prioritization.
    • Ensure alignment between product vision, platform architecture, and delivery priorities.


  • Backlog Ownership & Product Strategy
    • Own and prioritize the backlog for Data and Platform as a Service capabilities within the AI Platform.
    • Translate user needs (data engineers, AI engineers, engineering managers) into clear, high‑value backlog items.
    • Lead product discovery to validate problems and solutions, balancing user value, technical feasibility, and scalability.
    • Manage trade-offs between innovation, delivery, quality, and product/technical debt.
    • Contribute to PI planning and backlog refinement in line with SAFe principles.


  • Cross-functional & Transversal Leadership
    • Collaborate closely with engineering, architecture, data governance, security, and compliance teams to deliver scalable and sustainable platform capabilities.
    • Lead transversal initiatives and influence decisions across technical and business domains without formal authority.
    • Act as a product and agile coach for the teams, supporting best practices in product management, discovery, and delivery.
    • Facilitate stakeholder alignment and manage expectations across teams and geographies.


  • Platform Enablement & Experience
    • Own part of the user experience of the AI Platform, ensuring usability, consistency, and productivity.
    • Drive platform adoption through onboarding, enablement, documentation, and internal evangelism.
    • Collect user feedback and continuously improve platform capabilities and experience.

  • Strategic Impact & Ecosystem
    • Contribute to AI Platform strategy and executive-level discussions.
    • Own the product management and governance of key platform components and partnerships, in particular Databricks, used at scale within Schneider Electric.
    • Identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and long-term value through platform evolution.
    • Stay up to date with market trends and emerging technologies in Data & AI.

Your profile :

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Master in Business Administration (MBA) is a strong plus.
  • 8+ years of experience mostly in product ownership or product management, ideally in data/AI platforms or internal tooling.
  • Strong understanding of the Data & AI lifecycle and technologies.
  • Experience working in a cloud-native environment and understanding of cloud services (e.g. Azure, AWS, GCP)
  • Experience working in an Agile Scrum or SAFe environment is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and transversal leadership skills.
  • Strategic thinker with a passion for enabling others and driving adoption.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory. French is a strong plus.
