The Opportunity
As a Solution Architect in the Industrial Software team, you'll play a key role in designing intelligent and sustainable solutions to make our customers more efficient. You'll bring deep technical expertise to support our sales teams, partners, and customers-delivering best practices, innovative architectures, and advanced troubleshooting that accelerate success.
Reporting to the Pacific Zone Software Business Leader, you will align technical solutions with our commercial strategy and technology roadmap. Your role will involve influencing decision-makers and providing support to customers throughout the entire project lifecycle-from concept to commissioning. You will be responsible for engaging clients and partners through in-person presentations, demonstrations, and technical workshops
This exciting new career opportunity will see you:
- Provide technical pre-sales support to enhance sales growth and adoption of Schneider Electric and AVEVA Software
- Serve as the technical expert to design and deploy advanced automation systems with Schneider Electric and AVEVA Software.
- Work with customers to determine technical needs and limitations and recommend customized automation solutions (including licensing) using Schneider Electric and AVEVA Software.
- Effectively articulate and demonstrate the competitive advantages of Schneider Electric and AVEVA Software portfolio.
- Develop solution architectures and demos that showcase the innovation, efficiency, and value of Schneider Electric and AVEVA Software
Our ideal candidate will possess:
You're a technically strong and commercially aware automation expert with a proven ability to design solution architectures that meet diverse customer needs. With deep knowledge of both legacy and modern systems, you're confident in integrating new technologies and driving innovation across industrial environments, as well as:
- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field
- 10+ years of experience in automation solution development, business development, direct technical sales or pre-sales tendering.
- Proven ability to design and implement system/solution architectures for industrial applications,
- Deep expertise in PLC programming, SCADA/DCS, industrial networking and beyond SCADA (MES,APM, Simulation)
- Strong knowledge of industrial protocols (Modbus, OPC UA, MQTT, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, etc.) and cloud platforms
- Experience with IIoT, IT/OT convergence, and modern development environments (Windows/Linux, Docker, Kubernetes, Swarm, virtualization)
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles in industrial environments,
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
- A background in embedded software engineering or IT-focused software delivery is highly regarded
