Schneider Electric has an opportunity for a Planner Scheduler for our ASCO Queretaro location .
The Planner will plan and procure material to meet customer requirements at an optimal cost. Maintaining inventory levels, addressing shortages, and supporting product evolution are daily functions. This position is expected to provide informal leadership, training, and expertise across all elements of material planning.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- To develop detailed daily and weekly production plan according master schedule.
- To issue work orders & documentation packets to production in a daily basis according to detailed schedule.
- To review material availability for new work orders to release and expedite shortages with purchasing.
- To close work orders already completed by production.
- To supervise released work orders completion status with production and inform management about potential constraints and recommits.

- Maintain relevant data elements including lead time, order policy, safety stock and other planning parameters. Review and update planning parameters.
- Update forecasts on as needed basis based on demand and design changes.
- Review capacity of production lines balance and potential issues.
- Daily communication with production supervisors to establish priorities.
- Expedite customer priorities: negotiate with production, purchasing, import/export and Intercompanies, makes commitments to customers and follow-up until requirements are full-filled.
- Identify material shortages and expedite them from buyers and other planners.
- Keep informed Customer Service on status orders.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 3 years experience required, Proven experience as a production scheduler in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish).
- Understand MRP, Master Production Plan & Daily Planning.
- Sense of urgency and good follow-up skills.
- Well-developed management, communicative and administrative skills and autonomous performance.
- Must possess analytical skills, investigative problem-solving techniques and the ability to receive and give direction to accomplish job tasks.
- Hands on experience with calculating safety stocks, reorder points (MIN/MAX) and forecasting and inventory turns.
- Good understanding of how excess, obsolete, payment terms, ITO and PPV impact business financials.
- AS400 desirable experience/knowledge
- Advanced English
