Working Hours: 4/6 hours per day, Monday to Friday
The Onsite IT Services Technician (Trainee) will be responsible for providing comprehensive support for Schneider Electric workplace and infrastructure equipment. This role involves hands-on technical tasks, coordination with external vendors, and ensuring high levels of end-user satisfaction. The technician will perform a variety of services including hardware break and fix, warranty management, asset tracking, IMACD (Install, Move, Add, Change, De-Install), eyes and hand support, and escort services.
What will you do?
- Desk-side Support: Provide direct support to end-users for workplace equipment including desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, and other devices.
- Hardware Break & Fix: Assist in diagnosing and repairing hardware issues, manage replacement of defective units, and ensure data restoration.
- Warranty Management: Coordinate repairs with manufacturers and third-party maintenance suppliers, manage warranty claims, and handle logistics for defective units.
- Asset Tracking: Maintain accurate records of equipment status, location, and user assignments in the asset management system.
- IMACD Services: Perform installations, moves, additions, changes, and de-installations of workplace equipment, ensuring proper configuration and user acceptance.
- Eyes and Hand Support: Execute technical tasks under the direction of remote administration teams, including equipment resets, installations, and troubleshooting.
- Stock Management: Manage inventory levels, procure items, and ensure availability of spare accessories and consumables.
- Onboarding: Assist new employees with IT asset delivery, setup, and training on Schneider Electric systems and tools.
- Event Support: Provide technical support for special events, including setup and troubleshooting of audio/visual equipment.

Education and Experience:
What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
- Background or studies in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
- Some experience in IT support or a similar role is a plus, but not required.
- Basic technical knowledge of workplace and infrastructure equipment (desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, etc.).
- Willingness to learn and develop troubleshooting and hardware repair skills.
- Familiarity with basic warranty management processes and vendor coordination.
- Good organizational skills for asset tracking and inventory management.
- Ability to perform IMACD tasks efficiently and accurately.
- Strong communication skills for interacting with end-users and external vendors.
- Respect for security and confidentiality policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High level of end-user focus and customer service orientation.
