What will you do?

In this role, you will be accountable for managing offer launches and evolutions using the country offer introduction process and developing an Offer Technology Roadmap specific to the assigned products within the Power Systems portfolio. You will serve as the key intermediary between Global Supply Chain and the Front Office, interpreting feedback to continually improve the offer (price, competitive features and promotion) in order to grow profit and market share.

Primary Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage the execution of the product offer portfolio.
  • Monitor market, customer & competitive inputs and provide Customer Product Offer Requirements.
  • Act as the liaison between Product Management and front office (e.g. Segment Marketing, Sales & Sales Operations, Marketplace, Marketing Communications, Channel, Pricing, etc.)
  • Develop offer roadmaps for respective business.
  • Cooperate with Marketing communication to create the marketing communications calendar of events (demand creation).
  • Generate demand through the successful execution of the MarCom plan.
  • Meet or exceed Product Sales targets and associated financial KPIs for the Power Systems Project Offer Perimeter.

Secondary missions

  • Contribute to the specifications of new products.
  • Collect insight regarding product, service and solution gaps from Sales and the marketplace itself.
  • Distill information and recommend to Product Management product roadmap changes.
  • Propose the adaptation needed to comply with local codes, standards and norms.
  • Define or propose all necessary action plans targeted at boosting the product offer in collaboration with Product Management, Segment Marketing, Pricing, Channel, Sales, MarCom, Corporate Communications, Tech Pubs, OD, Competency Centers, PAEs, Customer Care, PSS, etc. This ensures that all relevant stakeholders are properly trained and aligned, e.g.
    • that Sales and Channel are provided sufficient support, training and sales collateral to effectively promote the Power Systems Project offer to contractors, end users, consultants and original equipment manufacturers.
  • Set published price and direction for execution, monitors its implementation.
  • Maintain detailed competitive analysis of competitors' product or solution offer positioning at the country level, provides this to other parts of the organization, e.g. Product Management, Sales, Segment Marketing. Receives competitive information from other parts of the organization, e.g. Segment and Channel Marketing.
  • Provide the direction to the business e.g. Logistics, for Customer Experience requirements (availability, stock levels).
  • Prioritize supply to Markets & Customers in the event of product shortages. Provide direction, does not micro-manage the requests.
  • Follow up on quality indicators.
  • Identify product offer gaps and suggest product offer evolution.
  • Ensure profitability of the product offer, price realization and mix management.
  • Ensure sales and market share growth of the product offer.
  • Produce product specifications for consultants.
  • Accountable for implementing the actions around life cycle management.
  • Identify product offer gaps and suggest product offer evolution.
  • Improve marketing effectiveness by focusing on process continuous improvement.


What qualifications will make you successful for this role?

  • Electrical or relevant engineering degree preferred. Business education (asset)
  • 5+ years of Industry experience
  • Good knowledge of electrical distribution business and construction industries
  • Experience in low voltage distribution equipment or design engineering
  • Experience in medium voltage distribution equipment (asset)
  • Strong understanding of Marketing Fundamentals (Value Proposition, Competition battle, Price Management, Product Positioning, Promotion and Market Segmentation)
  • Excellent communication, listening, interpersonal skills, as well as negotiation and influencing skills
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Autonomous, entrepreneurial & team spirited
  • Ability to travel internationally (mainly US-CAN) up to 25%
  • For Quebec-based candidates functional French is required
